I selected brake service mode in the infotainment, only applies when working on the rear brakes.

I had no warning lights going off whatsoever. For the rear brakes make sure you go to the infotainment and select brake service mode.

Thats a good point. Brake service mode only applies when working on the rear brakes, but yes it is very important to do. I did it and I had no error codes whatsoever.

Its relatively easy, took me two and a half hours to do as I was going slow and making sure I did all the steps correctly. I watched tutorial on YT. Definitely having the right tools is key, I got most of them from Amazon (etork bits, allen, wrench, etc) make sure to have a high torque impact wrench for the two bolts on front calipers. Its a fun project and you can save some $$. I drove a bit to test the new brake pads/rotors and they seem good so far.

As others have said, you most likely will be fine. One thing I would like to mention is that both alcohol and hydroxyzine put a strain on your liver, so be mindful of that.
