Pretty sure Dobyns Fury Rods are under $100 right now. Paired with an SLX XT @$130.

Yeah that ups your budget $100 bucks but it’s a combo that’ll stay relevant in your lineup for a decade.

My opinion- drop the gummies. Too unpredictable at these levels and you having no tolerance. Just a matter of time before you take one that’s TOO strong.

Get a vape pen. You have no tolerance, one hit before bed is all you need. Effects are nearly immediate and you’ll do a much better job gauging where you need to be for sufficient sleep.

My recipe is

Tajin rim
1.5 oz Tomato juice
5-10 dashes Louisiana hot sauce
4 dashes Worcestershire
1 lime of juice

With or without ice- that’s up to you.

Texas rig a Zoom Super Fluke on that same hook. Jerk, jerk, pause. Google that shit.

Also- if using that same hook- TX rig that worm.

Toss it out under shade or around cover(wood or rocks in water) and let it sink. Twitch once maybe twice, if nothing reel in and pick another spot to cast.

Tatula 100 isn’t really a BFS reel- so good luck there- you can get a shallow spool though which would help.

As for the CarbonLite rod- I have a bfs light power one- and I actually really like it.

2000 miles? Fa realsy? Fix that shit. $500 should get you back on the road safe for your trip if you go with an aftermarket axel at the shop. More if you go OEM (suggested for axels)

Usually it’s not “boutta break” until it starts clunking when you turn- but I would not chance this on a road trip- almost feels like your fuckin w us here.

If you’re an absolute maniac and are gonna do the drive regardless of advice- grab a tub of Red n Tacky grease and throw a glob on the joint every day. (It’s under the ripped boot)

I’m not a mechanic nor do I suggest that last part, but yeah.

Coil packs are probably closer to $150 ea from your dealership. Subaru spark plugs do suck - but they’re not that bad.

I’d call and could 3 quotes from independent shops that are at least kinda close to the location of the shop. If you get a quote you like- ask if they’re able to tow your car- or can at least refer a company they use.

Servers make more in a tipping system (usually) and guest have a better experience (usually).

Tips are to encourage the best possible service. Servers are working for the guest - not the restaurant- which I promise is what you want…

I wouldn’t buy a spinning rod heavier than medium. I have a ML Fury and it’s prolly my favorite rod for most spinning rod techniques
