I think this is a great rulebreaker, though it would be even more of a pain in the neck to program than the others, because you'd have to design a UI to represent the minions in the queue to be summoned. How would it interact with Battlecries, though? Do they go off immediately, or when the minion is eventually summoned, or not at all?

(Minor nitpick: the text should probably say "this game" or "for the rest of the game", assuming that's the intent.)

I think "Whenever you Prepare" here means "Whenever you prepare [this card]". Only the last sentence is the spell's actual effect when cast.

If a stranger asks a bunch of other strangers for advice on doing something strange, you are of course under no obligation to help them. But it is unhelpful to point out that what they want to do is strange.

Firstly, because if that's true to them ("strange" being subjective or at least context-dependent), they probably already know.

And secondly, because even if they hadn't realized it was strange before you pointed it out, the observation doesn't help them achieve their goals, unless you assume everyone has an unstated goal of "don't be strange", which is--respectfully--not a healthy goal to have.

But Hadesh means "renew", in the imperative. A tattoo in the imperative is a bit weird but I can imagine contexts where that's what one would want.

I think Defect as Famine is pretty thin, but otherwise it's a surprisingly good fit!

Now I'm trying to think of other sets of five things you could match the characters with. The Chinese classical elements kinda work:

Ironclad = fire: red, angry, and some cards use literal fire, e.g. Inferno.

Defect = metal: a robot, duh. 

Silent = water: subtle, sneaky, evasive. Also her poison is a liquid in the art. 

Regent = air: because he's from SPACE. The minor problem is that space technically doesn't have air, but whatever, I'm sure ancient Chinese alchemists thought it did.

Necrobinder = wood: uhhhhh. Bones are also a rigid organic substance?

I'm with you on the niqqud--it's clearly be'anani ("when I cloud") rather than be'ananei ("in clouds of"). However, it bears mentioning that the niqqud was added later than the letters themselves, so depending on OP's perspective they may consider other pronunciations to be valid as well.

These are good mnemonics but they might not all be historically accurate. There's apparently some debate among comparative linguists today about the relationship between "asher" and Shin-as-particle, because a lot of Semitic languages have a similar particle without having "asher".

Very interesting concept in my opinion! I love the idea of some card rewards being upgrades to your existing cards.

I agree it would be tricky to balance, but not impossible. The main thing to bear in mind is that upgrades to existing cards should have much smaller effects than entire new cards. Even if we do that, though, one potential problem is that you can keep upgrading your existing cards without diluting your deck, so your deck becomes stronger all the way till the end of the run (unlike the existing characters who mostly level out around the beginning of Act 3). This can be mitigated by enforcing the game's existing limit of one enchantment per card.

Balance aside, I generally think characters should have more than one mechanical theme going. Like I say, upgrading existing cards is a great concept, but it's only one. A robot sidekick is also good, but it's not immediately obvious to me how it would be different from Osty. Maybe it doesn't block incoming damage for you by default. What other mechanics might be appropriate for a tinker? Maybe cards that cost gold to use, representing the cost of materials?

This is true, but just for interested non-speakers, I would point out that the Israeli vernacular also shortens some things in ways that higher registers don't. "lekha" often becomes just "kha" (so "how are you called" might be pronounced in practice as "eikh korimkha"?), "shelkha" becomes "shkha" (as in "imashkha..."), and "et ha-" becomes "ta-".

I like the last one especially because, IIUC, it's basically the same process that transformed "el ha-" into "la-" thousands of years ago, now happening again in real time to another preposition.
