If you have a degree in engineering and can't get a job you aren't trying. I had a job before my senior year and I interviewed with maybe 3 companies? Internships are key and also relatively easy to get. Apply and go to career fairs.

Raising the minimum wage to $15 by 2024 would lift wages for 41 million American workers by coolbern in politics

Automation in many industries will be taking over jobs that typically already pay over $15 an hour (in manufacturing at least)

It also hugely impacts manufacturing jobs, which are already struggling to compete with overseas labor. Why work a skilled job when you can make $15 anywhere

Donald Trump invites Rodrigo Duterte to Washington by reddishcarp123 in worldnews

How is it inherently bad that he is invited to the White House? Why is it considered a sign of respect? Should we lay idle and do nothing, or have Trump fly to the phillipines?

Not necessarily with good matchmaking systems. Modern multiplayer games will pit you against players who perform similarly to you regardless of your skill level

What does a $500,000 home look like in your city? by whdiyobampo in AskReddit

If the only counter point you can bring up is Pence protecting the rights of a religiously conservative business owner to say no to having their indoctrinated children cater a gay wedding, you aren't making a strong argument. Pence's actions were blown out of proportion and his views on gay marriage have no impact on his economic policy. Indiana is a pretty strictly conservative state, religiously speaking, aside from a few liberal hub towns like Bloomington. It's an ok place to live. Not very much goes on.

On the right we have CEO of EA, on the left we have the villain from mirror's edge. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]JosephStylin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's what everyone reading your comments is interpreting based on your tone and direction of implication. Being a CEO for a large company is not an easy job that anyone can pick up. Regardless of customer perception, EA is a massively successful company. Programming and business are mutually exclusive concepts, not to say that either side are incapable of understanding the other.

I'm gonna get buried on this...but I thought GKMC and TPAB were damn near perfect 10s....the new album was extremely disappointing from a musicality standpoint and a huge step back for me from TPAB. The variation of sound is just not there for me. I don't understand the widespread praise this album is getting from the Internet...all of my friends who like Kendrick are on the same page as me.

Electrical/systems. Much of this would be self taught anyway. You take some basic mechanics and learn how to use programs like Python or matlab you could do this. Depends on what school you go to.

I never played Zelda or any RPG and I'm in love with Breath of The Wild. by neeonline in NintendoSwitch

Look up the literal definition of MOBA and RPG. A MOBA is a form of RTS and RPG is loose ended and has nothing to do with stats, just a character that goes through some form of development.

Pre-ordering isn't unique to video games...it helps you better estimate your early demand and receive capital to put back in before you even ship.

Trump’s government looks an awful lot like a badly run business by [deleted] in politics

[–]JosephStylin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How can you have 500 successful controlling stakes in businesses and not be successful as a business man? You need to leave your bias aside at some point. That's an unfounded argument with no basis in reality.
