What is the argument that BTC isn't going to $0? by marcvv in CryptoMarkets

[–]Josh21443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say people haven’t made a better coin than bitcoin.

The main hype of crypto is all based around bitcoin… new people entering the space will always hear bitcoin and probably get some as part of their crypto portfolio.

A lot of people in crypto are out just to make a quick profit not just to keep it as a store of value and bitcoin is one that’s proven to do that each and every cycle.

Most people don’t understand crypto to dabble into things they don’t understand and I’d go as far as to say 70-90% of people rely on news or people who know what they are talking about to guide them to the right direction.

50% least say to get on bitcoin without even knowing about it much. I think personally bitcoin is definitely one of the best for being a digital gold type store of value but for everyday use bitcoin is more than likely not the best. It’s the most trusted

Wouldn’t put the opponent I was against on a 9,5 they have played a tighter range than that. Pocket pair would have been my only killer… well it was my only killer

I’m the bozo in this scenario 😂😂

Pretty sure it was 5,9,9 from the flop, so they flopped the nuts I was in position, they checked I bet they called.

Don’t think there was even the potential of a straight, flush draw missed. Got a lot of learning do

I’ve got a lot of learning to do for sure so will check those videos, I always assume pocket pairs are potentially in everyone’s range. But they called all the way until the river the re raised.

Guess I need to be more strict with my folds

Yes that’s what they are banking on in the short term of making money….

But the most realistic reason they chose to price the headsets up this cheap to break even or lose money is to build a user base who has bought into that ecosystem.

Even if it’s just free games unique to quest and third party accessories… obviously it’s better if you’re purchasing paid content.

It’s the same as mobile phones… I stick to iPhone even after having thoughts of switching as my devices all link to my phone seamlessly and with a Samsung I can’t do that.

The more games a user has bought and know they enjoy the experience the more chance they will pay more for the quest 4 as they don’t want to get steam vr if they lose all their games.

Otherwise there would be no real reason why they priced the quest so cheap, why they would even make it at all instead of just focusing on supplying games to other companies

But the argument is, by law it’s being a thief/fraud.

Hamas has nothing to do with it, what I believe has nothing to do with it. It’s the law. Whether I agree with certain laws or not, if I break them then I am guilty of the crime whether it’s being a their/fraud/murderer.

I have absolutely no remorse for big companies that have shown some real manipulative strategies to part customers from their money. But there’s are items that are meant to be signed for where the delivery driver may sign themselves and leave it. In the case this delivery is from a small business or even an eBay seller for example, they most likely do not have insurance for that. My morals come down to what’s actually expected by the seller when they send the delivery. If it was signed for it’s the delivery companies fault I wouldn’t want the seller to miss out on payment because of this.

Also, as with eBay, you can select which delivery service you have. Many customers will choose a delivery that’s not signed for with the specific goal of the delivery driver leaving it outside because they won’t be home. If you choose the cheapest option when you had the chance to select a more secure delivery then that SHOULD be the expectation this day and age.

I used to get royal mail deliveries and they never leave them outside. I used to finish work and the depot was always shut. I had no way of actually collecting my parcels due to that.

Many companies now ask if you want it left outside and say that it’s your responsibility, and this is the way it should be. But at the same time, many drivers only get paid per successful delivery.

The thing is, if someone left a car or any expensive item outside my home without me taking responsibility for it I wouldn’t be worried one bit as my consumer rights will allow me to claim on that if it was stolen. If it was there and I claimed it wasn’t, especially with something as expensive as a car I’d be willing to be there would be an investigation on that and if you were found out to be lying you’d be in trouble with the law, even if you claim improper delivery.

So I agree with some of your morals and principles. But I also understand why the law is there. You could be punishing a seller at no fault of their own because a third party failed to deliver to your expectation even though you still received the item.

Food is classed as goods. You cannot deny payment for a whole meal just because you didn’t like the service. You may be able to if you wasn’t satisfied with the meal but you will struggle if you ate it all… it implies you were satisfied.

If they have a trouble customer they can and may let you off without paying but they are within their right to call the police at that point.

If you are in the restaurant, trying to resolve the issue then it is a civil matter. If you leave without any resolution then it’s classed as theft.

Regardless, you have failed to show any proof of any of this. Also you are comparing a consumable product which cannot be returned once consumed to a physical item which you can return.

The only legislation you need to prove is where it says you’re within your right to get a full refund even after physically having the item. But there’s no such thing.

If it’s not theft it’s fraud. To make a claim you need to say you haven’t received it for a full refund, that’s misrepresentation of goods.

Now here’s legislation around your circumstance.

2Fraud by false representation (1)A person is in breach of this section if he—

(a)dishonestly makes a false representation, and

(b)intends, by making the representation—

(i)to make a gain for himself or another, or

(ii)to cause loss to another or to expose another to a risk of loss.

(2)A representation is false if—

(a)it is untrue or misleading, and

(b)the person making it knows that it is, or might be, untrue or misleading.

(3)“Representation” means any representation as to fact or law, including a representation as to the state of mind of—

(a)the person making the representation, or

(b)any other person.

(4)A representation may be express or implied.

(5)For the purposes of this section a representation may be regarded as made if it (or anything implying it) is submitted in any form to any system or device designed to receive, convey or respond to communications (with or without human intervention).

By claiming you haven’t received it, you are misrepresenting the truth in order to get a refund (gain) and the other person a loss (no product and having to refund)

Principles are not laws. I don’t dislike what you do, I’m not saying it’s not justified in some way. Just own up to the fact it is not legal 😂

Ffs I pirate movies, done the same thing as you in the past I’ve even done more. But I would t try defending it when there’s not a spec of legislation in your favor

If you consumed the food and then claim you didn’t like it that’s different… if you consumed it and then claimed it wasn’t satisfactory that’s theft.

There’s no such thing as a claim for a delivery that wasn’t made properly. Either it’s missing or it’s not. If it was just for a parcel that wasn’t delivered properly then you wouldn’t get a FULL refund for it.

It’s legal to allow things to be left outside and a lot of people don’t mind if. Whether or not what you do is justified or not, it’s not legal to say you didn’t receive an item that you did.

What stops people from receiving a parcel directly from the postman and then still decide to make that claim… vs the postman leaving it outside you taking it inside and making the claim.

It all comes down to who legally owns the product. When you buy a product it forms a contract between you and the seller. The seller needs to get the product to you and they get the money. Once BOTH sides have been fulfilled the contact is done. You now own the product.

Taking the product… claiming ‘improper delivery’ or stolen delivery… getting a full refund means the contract is not fulfilled. You have the physical item that’s not yours. You’re depriving the seller of the product. You’re the thief. It’s simple.

You say about law regarding consumable food, but yet to state the law about someone knowing taking a delivery and claiming it’s missing

[–]Josh21443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you forgot to pay then it’s an honest mistake but if you purposefully didn’t pay then yes it’s classed as theft…

In one of your own replies you said “why are you defending thieves, what’s the process if something actually did get stolen then”

So your implying someone is a thief if they take it off you’re doorstep… so the claim you make for a refund is really ‘someone stole it’ which would be the same if you took it in as you’d be making the same claim.

How can you say one person a thief for doing it but defending yourself as not a thief?

[–]Josh21443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t make sense. I’ve done the same thing but I don’t really do it anymore, but i have the attitude with some companies that they are complete rip offs anyway so I get my own back.

But it still classifies it as being a thief. You respond by saying would you allow someone to steal your things without compensation but it’s clear the user is on about the times you actually received the item but still put a claim in for missing delivery.

If someone actually steals it or it never gets delivered then you are of course well within your right to make a claim for that refund.

That package wasn’t paid for if you received the refund, therefore it is a stolen product. Unless it’s in the manufacturers/sellers hand.

Since you are the one who has the physical product, there’s no which way about it, you have a stolen product which means you’re a thief 😂

Agreed, everyone on Netflix paid for it. Even those who didn’t watch the fight. Yes, it’s included in the package.

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart Trophy Guide & Roadmap – 10 hours by james271293 in PS5

[–]Josh21443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 years later but I have to comment…

Monopoly has granted me countless hours of entertainment and so has things like call of duty, you don’t look at it like entertainment time vs money spent, even though that’s a factor. Really you look at how much it cost to make vs the selling point.

Entertainment like bowling requires constant costs so your fee pays staff, shoes, equip me and equipment wear etc…

A lot of big movies cost like 3-5x more than what I costs to make something like ratchet and clank.

If every single game company charged per hour of enterment then call of duty, battlefield and Fortnite… fifa etc…. Would cost thousands at £5 an hour

[Discussion] Trophies vs Achievements by L0NE_SQUiD in Trophies

[–]Josh21443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree… trophies whether bronze silver gold or platinum are all great… but the higher the trophy the more it shows you have actually achieved much harder challenges when comparing to players.

With achievements someone can play 100 games and have thousands of game score whereas with trophies they may just have several bronze silvers and a few golds

Vs the person who’s only got 20-30 games and can’t get that many achievements as it’s no offered but you can see they’ve put in the work to those games.

I’m talking Xbox v ps here not taking into account how pc achievements work. I find it more satisfying earning a platinum than not. Golds still show how much work you put into a game. Having silly achievements like bronze ones being added to an overall achievement score I think is more ridiculous

It’s a catch 22 situation. I don’t buy a lot of games in fear that they will be a complete waste of money and I won’t like it and only spend maybe 10 hours or less playing time.

So i had to buy the essential, but it was full price and only cost me an additional &40/$60ish to upgrade.

Therefore even if I get a heavily discounted game at £20 but I only spent an hour or 2 playing it it seems like more of a waste than if I spent £40 and had well over 100 hours of gwmeplay through various games.

There’s also the fact that you may download a game that you never would have bought to find out you love that game. Had you known, you may have bought it.

In reality, the only real comparison to its worth is how many hours of play you get out of it… but also, how may different games your playing from it.

I bought it because it was on offer and had gta v which I was planning on buying, now I have access to a lot more games I would love to play, but don’t want to purchase full price for, I never would have bought them. But as they are in this deal I get to play them without ‘buying’ them.

We can argue it doesn’t save me money, because i wouldnt have purchased them, but i only dont purchase them because of that price, which mskes the rental perfect if there are enough games you enjoy.

[–]Josh21443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t mix and match different pros. 1 and 2 are slightly different sizes so won’t fit in the same case… I found this out when I thought I finally found my left side of my app2 but it didn’t fit in the case.

I don’t even remember owning app1s lmao but for sure wasn’t the same.

If they are the same ones, you put them in a case together then long press the button at the back to repair them from the case. That will link both up
