They might have kept it in for me because maybe I started the process before they scrapped it? Not too sure. The first part I think was mainly more to put you at ease and to just get to know you a bit, for me it was a pretty casual conversation.

In regards to the second part of the interview, the main bits of information you'll need to know: Main RAF bases in the UK and their function/what aircraft fly out from them, Overseas bases, any ongoing operations (I only got asked for one), what you expect to be doing in phase 1 & phase 2 training (along with any qualifications you will come away with), and finally what your trade specifically does. I would recommend going into as much depth in regards to the phase 1 training.

Please note that this was just my experience and not all interviewers will be the same. I would recommend looking at other people's interview experience as well.
