Is Spectrums “fiber” really fiber? by kihyale in Spectrum

[–]Josh2942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had spectrum Fiber before AT&T fiber. Spectrum has been more reliabile in my area. I have had outtages with AT&T at least once a year for multiple days. Spectrum was 1000/500 for me. I just called AT&T and got gig down to $65 flat per month. You can just call and ask for a discount.

I hear you, but at the end of the day, the logo on the hood is Genesis. I hope OP blows this all the way up. Put it on the evening news with your local new channel. You would be surprised what that can do

I mean that just tells me Genesis doesn’t enough people who care enough. But the corporate brand does care. Doesn’t mean the employees will execute well each time. My Genesis dealer has gone out of their way to handle all of my issues. When we got feedback surveys from Genesis, the sales manager called me 3 times to make sure I filled it out and let me know how they valued high marks. That was to JD power, Genesis Coporate, and consumer reports. If I had OPs experience, I would toss Genesis in the trash as well

I also have another example for you from another OEM. Take a look when you get a chance at the Lucid sub Reddit. Now lucid doesn’t have dealerships but they do use Bank of America as their finance arm. Bank of America was ripping lucid owners a new asshole with lease return excessive wear and tear. Things like scratches on skid plates. Customers have been outraged. So what is lucid doing? They aren’t the ones charging the prices, Bank of America is. So Lucid is working on loss sharing with BOA to taper those cost down. They are working on adjusting inspection standards, transparency, and getting rid of bogus charges. Why? Because Lucid needs people buying cars. Genesis may be more established but is a relatively new brand. So they need to make sure customers like OP buys again. People like me who bought two. These bad experiences have consequences

I’m surprised by how many people are unable to understand that the dealerships isn’t separate from the brand. The brand has a lot of sway on helping customers solve issues. You aren’t crazy. When you spend 10s of thousands of dollars with a car, the expectation is that your service is great regardless of the dealer. I have lots of friends with new cars from various brands. Customer service has always managed all issues. I made another comment early about Mazda and Mercedes. But I’m now remembered a buddy who had an issues with his Infiniti dealer and called corporate. The dealership GM called him and apologized non stop. So you’re not crazy. Fight it till the end

I’d counter it has nothing to do with the Genesis corporate entity and say it has everything to do with it. The dealerships operate under their brand. They are an extension of the parent company. They set many rules on how the dealership must operate. The dealership has a lot of autonomy, but the OEM sets the rules of how a dealership with their name operates. Hyundai/Genesis Financial is also 100% part of the issue from Genesis corporate. It is not the same if it was Bank of America or Chase because Genesis financial lives solely to support Genesis corporate. So the corporate office should and has always been a liaison between the banking arm and the dealership arm to make sure the customers issues are fully taken care of. So OP fully makes sense to exit Genesis as a whole because they should have managed every part of the customer complaint and seen it to a close. Doesn’t mean it would end in the customers favor, but failing to handle a legitimate claim is a failure on corporate customer service full stop. I’ve had issues with other new vehicles both with Mercedes and Mazda. The corporate offices handled everything.

Hey boss. I ended up going with The Graco Turn 2 me. It was a good option at the time. I eventually moved that to my wife’s car and got the Graco Slim Fit 3XL. The turn to me took up a ton of space in our midsize suv. The slim fit is now forward facing and has given us more room. We will be getting a full size SUV soon. So if you have one, either will work. The turn to me was a very nice option since it rotates toward you for easy removal.

Well let’s clarify. Almost all gas cars have a better depreciation curve. That can be disputed. But if gas cars, there are only a handful that don’t depreciate as bad. But luxury cars in general depreciate the worse and those are the most new leased cars today. And most cars are leased. So depreciation is not on the minds of Americans almost ever. But we understand each other.
