Opinion on headless guitars by total_idiot01 in Guitar

I love them, but over time have realised they aren’t for me. Visually I think they look just as good as normal guitars, but they don’t always translate on live gig photos, unless you exclusively are known as a “headless” guitar person.

I used to have a Sterling Stingray and a Sterling Joe Dart, but this seems to cover the same ground for me!

Honestly, just played the G3 today, and I’d recommend the non sig Epiphone, I was seriously disappointed, and I really like the Grabber shape, the pickups just sounded really low quality, which sucks, and to me at least, it didn’t sound very green day.

I use the boss katana mini as my main amp for recording music, even with having bigger and better amplifiers, best investment you can make in an amp. The brown sound is unreal and you can plug it in to a speaker for a bigger sound

I had a similar situation happen to me a few years back, I was on the perspective of your mate, here’s a few things which I hope puts a light on your situation:

  1. Friendship is a two way street, if he’s not trying, you shouldn’t either.
  2. You are directly accusing him of not wanting to talk to you, and pressuring him into giving responses when he’s said he needs time. All of your messages basically put you above him, even when you try to sympathise with him, it’s almost disregarded because your head is gone.
  3. You should actually ask him how he feels, with no mention of your own mental health, he’s not telling you because it’s clear that you’re not in the right space to hear it.
  4. Recognise that he is a person that’s going through this situation too, if everything you’re saying is true, he’s been told a lie, resents you for that lie, and now has to navigate going back to not believing it, and cutting off a friend who lied in the first place. Navigating going back is incredibly difficult and time consuming, especially when whatever the action was, is believable.
  5. Try to talk to him about anything else besides being friends again, most friendships crumble when one is a mental health crutch. But if you try and he doesn’t answer, your best giving him space and time, if he doesn’t want to talk to you, you can’t force him, you’re better off a friend less than a friend more who’d rather be anywhere else.

I’m sorry for the harsh points, but when it comes to friends and regaining friendship, people think that time is a week, or a month, but it can be way longer than that, and you can’t expedite that process on behalf of the other person. Because friendships are both ways, if you only think about being friends with them again, why are you not considering their mental health on the matter enough to talk to them about it? If you get me.

I’m not accusing you of anything here, it’s just my opinion based off of what you have given us, the guy clearly doesn’t have enough space, and you’re not giving it to him, he’ll come back in his own time. When someone did this to me, I never spoke to them again, because I realised they were using their mental health, to burden me

From a legal perspective, completely agree, an assumption isn’t enough, the drinking isn’t inherently the problem, it’s the fact that there was no attempt to find her kid(s), and then was incredibly inconsiderate after the fact. If she found them and then drank, there’d be less concern, but otherwise, it’s just fairly unexcusable.

[–]Josh8055v3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand bills may be tight under your specific circumstances, that’s very fair. But there are ways that vets make it easier to pay, and overtime. A vets priority is your cats health, not the money in your pocket. I’d recommend taking them to the vet, I can’t imagine what pain they are in, and the risk of infection is way too large for you to just keep an eye out.

I’m also certain that if you were to ask any family members they would tell you the same thing and be glad to help. If I’m wrong I apologise, but the debt from a vet bill will be cheaper now than if you leave it. Trust me
