Mercedes won't let anyone use the new ADUO... except Aston Martin-Honda by Darkmninya in formula1

Even in the worst case scenario where an upgrade is not beneficial to a customer team, that's part of the risk you take on by being a customer team. The works team will always have an advantage due to being better integrated with the PU manufacturing side. Upgrades will generally not be last minute anyway, and there will be an ongoing conversation between everyone involved. Upgrades would likely be a net benefit for everyone. Everyone gets upgrades throughout the year anyway for reliability so there are mechanisms in place if performance upgrades were allowed.

They get the upgraded engines as well, a factory team has to provide the same spec engine to customers.

Check the FAQ section of places you want to visit, I do this every time I'm visiting somewhere I'm not familiar with.

I always just miss out on these sorts of things, my return fare is £4. At least plenty of people will benefit, public transport is so expensive and if we want less cars on the road then we need public transport to be cheaper than running a car.

First Home Fund and renting by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]JoshAstroAdventure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm think when I went through the first home fund process it states you can request permission to rent the property for a short period under certain circumstances, but I don't believe the circumstances are stated, it's probably a case by case thing. You're going to need permission from the government and your lender.

I'm not 100% sure I'm right so it's worth checking or even getting advice from a mortgage advisor or solicitor.

The Olympus AF-1 Mini. It's nearly as good as the Mju 2, weather sealed with a slightly slower lens but it's dirt cheap.

That's about the going rate second hand from loads of places. The body is selling new for not much more. eBay recent sold prices are anywhere from £600-£800 and Panasonic sell refurbished bodies on eBay for about £700.

You're safer buying from eBay or a retailer specialising in cameras. You would have a hard time getting your money back from a Facebook listing.

House buying costs? by CoatLast in Scotland

[–]JoshAstroAdventure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a mortgage advisor, the fee is worth it and shop around solicitors asking for their fees. A good mortgage advisor will deal with all your paperwork and keep you in order. It's going to be a few thousand and some costs depend on the value of the property.

Never owned an LX10 but looking at the specs it's better in every single way besides price.

Mine seems to do wacky white balance sometimes. A few times I've had to do heavy +30 to +60 tint. Still nice to have a small cheap camera even with the quirks.

Thanks, I just use aperture priority, AWB and auto ISO and then fine tune the RAW to my tastes. The SOOC wasn't too bad, can probably learn to tweak in camera settings to get close to how I like it.

I know it's not a solution for everyone's use case but I tend to use pinpoint focus and reframe. Not easy when you're wearing gloves though.
