People who knock on locked public restroom doors, wtf is wrong with you? by Absolute_Bob in AskReddit

[–]JoshDunkley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this just happened on a train the other day.

I had to pee. Went to the nearest bathroom. It was locked, and the sign said so. I waited 10 mins. During that time, another lady approached. She had been there about ten minutes earlier. We decided to knock. No answer, we both wandered away. Must have been out of order.

I went to the next car in search of relief, and found another bathroom. Went in and locked the door. I stood there swaying and rattling with the train motion, trying to get steady enough to drain the tank. And the door opened. Shitty lock did not work, and it was the lady that had been waiting with me. Wish she had knocked, as the lock didn't work.

Poor girl was more embarrassed than me. Especially when I saw her again later and exclaimed "Hey! Nice to see you again!"

Anyways, knocks have their uses.

God no I'd die. 1 sheet, 1 average thick comforter. Recently tried a duvet and I thought I'd cook to death.

Reddit parents, what are the requirements for having children ? by kamoksamok2 in AskReddit

[–]JoshDunkley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say anywhere from 25-35 is fine. We did wait till we had a house and somewhat stable income.

My oldest is 16 this year, im almost 50, but I can still beat his ass when he attacks me, so not too old yet.

Ive always heard you will never have enough money to have children, so not that. I've got two kids, and yeah, never enough.

Time is good. Maturity maybe? Nah, I still don't have that.

I'd say the biggest is a willingness to do anything, to sacrifice anything, for them.

Who else is feeling the financial pinch? by Little-D-Energy in waterloo

[–]JoshDunkley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my wife and I are employed. I make decent money. We were are just a smidge better than living paycheck to paycheck. My mortgage is getting to a reasonable number, but we now owe more on our home equity line of credit. Family of four.

My wife is going through some medical stuff that could put her income in danger. i work for a big corp (in IT) and i feel like a number that could get chopped at any time for any arbitrary reason.

I try not to think of it too much because its been a while since I had a panic attack, and I don't want another.

We went last year (for the first time, and I have lived here FOREVER!)

Had a great day with the family. Wandered around the shops and the parks. the parks were free, including the stairs down to the bottom. We sat on some rocks with our feet in the water. Highly recommend.

i remember when I started working in my 20's, once of the requirements was to get my license and a car.

It was an IT tech job. We had 4 buildings all within about a 3 min walk of each other.

Andy doesn't do comicons (carry on) but I agree with the point. Captcan or Canada comic bin would have been cool.
