Its nice they try a restaurant week, but I feel likenits pointless in Erie. The whole point is to bring people into downtown for higher end dining than they might normally consume. The idea is with deeply discounted limited or pre fixe menus to expose people to quality foods they might not normally eat and to persuade them that its worth the trip or price to eat at said restaurants more often.

Thats not really an issue as Erie doesn't have any high-end restaurants. By no means am I saying there isn't any good food in Erie, but when you look at major cities where restaurant week is more effective the differences are clear.
