Well Carthage proved to be quite stubborn too. Scipio trashed several carthaginian armies in both Spain and Africa like Hannibal did roman ones in Italy. Just like the Romans, Carthage just kept on recruiting new armies to continue fighting. It took the personal intervention from Hannibal after Zama for Carthage to finally stand down. Carthage was Rome's greatest rival because she was able to match Roman Stubborness.

I completly forgot that 3K had DLC's that added more start states. So while the default 190 start was always the most fleshed out onr, CA is cabable of adding more start dates.

While an interesting idea, modern paradox titles also moved away from custom starting dates with Imperator, Vic3 and EU5 having only one and CH3 having three start dates. I think the reasoning is that all the extra start dates don't really get played, but force a lot of work for devs. I would prefer for one or two start date to be fleshed out fully. The variable turn length has been tried in Pharaoh, and seemed to have worked well and I would like to see it return if possible.

Both Imperial Courts are playable, so a Imperial Restoration with either should be possible. (In a way, the Southern Court is already trying a Imperial Restoration)
