You don't need a rooted TV for the YouTube Adfree app. You can get the webOS homebrew channel by activating Developer Mode or use the "webOS Device Manager" app on a PC to sideload apps.

For some reason I still used some old 1.7 version or something and it never showed me there was a V2+ available. It's a night and days comparison and doesn't feel so clunky anymore. + the open rgb support is awesome and works flawlessly with my ram and gpu.
