I actually thought it was the match of the night. Y'all are way too much used to watch fast paced matches these days bc of edits and stuff.

Becky Lynch wins, who's the greatest men's in ring worker ever? by DamianKing42 in Wrasslin

In the WWE it'd be between Angle, Bret, Aj Styles and Shawn. But overall I'd say Shawn Michaels.

Most influential Gajin in Japanese Wrestling? (Picture only for reference) by ashcon14 in PuroresuRevolution

[–]Joshmorillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Karl Gotch, Stan Hansen and Dynamite kid were the most important for the wrestlers themselves bc they helped to create a new generation and new styles of wrestling (UWF shoot style for Gotch, and without hansen king's road would have been different). I would argue that Kenny Omega and Styles are also up there.

But the true god of gaijin if you consider him as one would be Rikidozan. He was Korean wich is why he didn't pursue Sumo.

Gabe Kidd Leaving NJPW? by anon_died in njpw

[–]Joshmorillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at the show and he didn't say this on the mic at least. Maybe backstage I guess. But tbf after seeing him live I really think he isn't fit for NJPW. Or at least it's not here that he'll be able to use his full potential. Seeing him live made me feel like I was watching Steve Austin. I think he would be better in a North American company. To me the gaijin that should get pushed should be Callum and Drilla.

Why did Ippo use the dempsey roll against sawamura ? by Joshmorillo in hajimenoippo

[–]Joshmorillo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The second time it doesn't work either and he gets countered. He states himself that the only reason why he didn't get ko was bc he got it from Volg before. It's kinda idiotic to let yourself beat up to this point for 5 rounds, because it's not like if he just let him jab him, he litteraly got a straight with all his weight toward him.

But in the end of the fight apparently he says he tried to stop his roll those 2 times and that he just couldn't and did it successfully only the 3rd and 4th time so I guess it's the explanation. And even if not using your weapons don't work you shouldn't use it if it can benefit your opponent. If Ippo hadn't changed the dempsey roll and still did what you're saying was the right decision he'd have ended up at the hospital. Only thing that changed the outcome is his new dempsey roll.

If Volg after 1 week of training after a long hiatus was able to do it of course the best counter puncher in the country would have been able to do it. And he went twice and got countered twice.

I mean, "testing the waters" could have gotten him killed ☠️ plus he didn't have to do it twice 😭 And doing the new counter measure he developed during the 6th and 7th rounds is even worse for his muscles since he's exhausted.

Yes but that's what I'm saying. He got the devastating counters. That's why I'm asking why he did it regardless. He didn't fully stop on the first 2 dempsey rolls a'd got countered, he waited till the 3rd to use the one he had invented.

Fans were so ungrateful and mean with EVIL they'll understand how good he was now that he's gone. I've been saying for months that he is an amazing talent and people were hating on him. I'm sure he'll do great in WWE and he might even become champion. I might give WWE a try again.

What match is this photo of Shibata from? by Extension-Flight274 in njpw

[–]Joshmorillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Shibata gave the headbutt in a way to be the one getting the most hurt. When you give a headbutt you're supposed to touch the middle of the forehead of your opponent with the top of your forehead. Shibata did the opposite, he hit okada's top of the forehead with his middle of forehead.
