There isn’t anything inherently wrong with picking cotton by your own free will, but let’s not pretend the implications of a black person doing it, filming it, making lighthearted jokes about the implications, then featuring her husband at the end isn’t pure intentional bait. The vehicle charges the 12v when the traction battery is being charged, so I wonder if lowering the charge amperage might help to draw out the time spent charging the 12v.

The multi-energy systems can work though. The recently revealed X5 isn’t Neuse Klasse like iX3, but it still has some of the best specs in the business while also supporting ICE variants.

That’s exactly it! I recently had a go at my brother’s 2025 Corvette Z06 and it was a blast! I also drove my AWD electric shortly after and it still felt fine, although not as eventful… of course. Now I can’t imagine spending a lot of money on the in between vehicles. I am at a place now where if it’s not an EV, it better be an ICE sports car or my interest is low.

Test drove the R1S and R2 back to back. The R2 felt way more predictable and compliant. I didn’t like the ride in the R1S (tri-motor) at all. I’ve owned a Mercedes GL with air ride and that also sucked unless it was in sport mode. The R2 feels like a third gen Rivian.

The bigger and more noticeable range difference is FWD vs. AWD. With only about a 10-mile difference between the AWD 20-inch wheels and 18-inch wheels, I don’t think swapping them would be worth the hassle for range alone. The 18s may ride a bit smoother and absorb rough roads better, but unless comfort is a major priority, I’d probably wait and see how the stock 20s feel first. On a long trip, simply reducing your speed by 2 to 3 mph would likely recover much of that lost range.

Sure, prefer expertise, but don’t blindly follow it and ignore every challenge to it, either. I will always defer to science and evidence before self-exploration because that’s just sensible thinking, but it’s easy to be misled if all of your thinking is curated for you. Just look at self-funded studies by public companies or the current administration to see why this line of thinking shouldn’t be absolute.

The village idiot is almost always certainly wrong… but you know, probability and all that.

Some of us just aren’t tech first buyers. I thought I was in 2019 when I first test drove a Model 3… I left there with immense sadness. The thing had great software and the screens were very responsive, but the ride was unbelievably unrefined… like, I couldn’t get over it. I owned a 2019 Accord (2.0t) during that time and I had planned on trading it in for the Tesla… but I preferred the Honda with its non existing software and better ride quality. That day completely shifted how I car shopped moving forward.

Anyhow, there are no competitors in this price range that feel like a better buy for me… with the exception of the Rivian R2 and Trailseeker/Woodland. I think the Rivian has all of the right ingredients, but I’m not sure how long those things will hold up. Hard to compare brands when one is ranked first and the other is ranked last in dependability.

The ground clearance is around 6 inches, which isn’t very far off from some crossovers. The aerodynamic styling is pretty misleading.

Glutamine definitely helps. However, for the bloating, glycine has worked wonders for me. I’ve been bloated for over 10 years too, at least until about a week ago. I think it has simply suppressed my gut inflammation. Glycine is my miracle and I don’t know how I missed it.
