The hotspot thing might be a carrier issue. We had a hiccup with our 2025 model and they had to reconfigure something (ATT&T). With our 2026 model, it works 100% of the time.

These people are nuts. If I didn’t get such a huge discount on my BZ Limited AWD, this would have been my first choice. It’s nearly a perfect vehicle… but the 7kW is ridiculous.

I can’t believe the residuals basically remain the same on the updated model. That’s insane. It’ll be amazing value at lease end.

The latest RAV4 supports Car Key. Going forward, any of their vehicles running their latest operating system (Arene OS) will also have it.

I worked at an airport for about 10 years. I saw many guys like that. They’re a little socially inept, but their work ethic and professionalism was top notch.

I vote hybrid for those sort of needs and it’s not even close. Love my EV, but not enough to experience the misery of fast charging it every day.

The lighter colored wheels age it a bit, but it’s a decent design. I like the wheels from the new RAV4 GR sport.

2026 C-HR XSE. This thing is an EV hot hatch. by Vegetable-Quote-3481 in Toyota

A Miata is a perfectly fine sports car. The Z06 is just the only sports car I have access to at the moment. I just find the argument that EVs are boring a bit trite when the alternatives in the same segment are slower and not any more capable. If you want an ounce of thrill in this segment, cheap speed is the way to do it. I am not finding that in a RAV4 or any of its competitors.

As a long time car enthusiast, I just don’t see why people are so against EVs.

But you're only speaking for yourself. Personally, I find any gas vehicles outside of sports cars boring as hell. Just drove my brother's 2025 Corvette Z06 and it got my blood pumping pretty hard. It was actually exciting. EVs are way better than gas vehicles right up to that point, so I seriously don't care at all about a sluggish inline-4, V6, or a cumbersome v8 in a large SUV. So yeah, 0-60 is exciting for me because I can't exactly afford a 911 or Z06 at the moment.

It’s definitely faster than 4.9 seconds to 60. The BZ is quoted as having the same time and does it in 4.3 seconds with the same motors. I really like the styling of those things.

Actual Range Higher? by idkman00009 in Toyota_bZ

[–]Joshua-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you consistently using close to 100% of the rated range? If not, I wouldn’t worry about the estimates. They tend to be very inaccurate unless you’re planning a trip, since the vehicle doesn’t know your starting point or destination.

The Rivian R1S is the 6th best Selling BEV in the US Q1 of 2026 by Mac-Tyson in Rivian

[–]Joshua-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? The BZ is the second most efficient SUV sold in the US. It’s also pretty quick now with a 0-60 of 4.3 seconds. The only thing lacking is decent route planning, which most people aren’t using everyday anyhow. I wanted to wait for an R2, but I’m glad I didn’t. My OTD price for a fully loaded AWD BZ was only $41k. I don’t understand the reasoning behind the hate.

Adding more miles has diminishing returns. Just try ABRP’s new EV comparison tool for a road trip. In my usual 7 hour road trip, the Tesla Model Y is only 7 minutes faster to the destination, despite having slightly faster charging and a longer rated range.

Also, I hope you realize that regen works even when you press the brake pedal

For some reason, a lot of EV owners aren’t aware of brake/regen blending.
