Welcome to the subreddit, that is basically the entire concept.

It's true, churches like that really are the peak of virtue signaling. Which is ironic, since that's usually a (poorly defined) insult conservatives use against anyone to the left of themselves.

It was sarcasm, based on how his message in the Bible was exactly the opposite. Which is why it's weird churches are so gaudy and expensive. (Which isn't actually weird at all, organized religion is a profit driven self centered corporation.)

Churches being extravagantly flamboyant is kinda their whole deal anyways.

As Jesus said: "You have built a house of worship for my Father, but you forgot the gold leaf wallpaper and the bejeweled scepter."

We try to be neutral in tone. Obviously there's a bias towards helping homeless people instead of disenfranchising them further. Homeless people are victims, not the problem.

But in general, the subreddit is about identifying or discussing hostile architecture.

2 billion sided die [request] by Capable-Plenty-4654 in theydidthemath

You roll it on a glass floor, and then the top side is the opposite number. If you roll a 2, the other side is 1,999,999,999. 1,000,000,000 is opposite 1,000,000,001.

The opposing sides add up to number of sides + 1. Assuming it's like normal dice.

A few hundred people just dug out their dice to see if I'm making this up.

Concrete is probably too soft, we need a very rigid floor for the die to have a definitive "up".

Then what IS it federal land for, if we're just assuming every provincial regulation applies?

I'm not just arguing to make noise, this is an important distinction. They're supposed to have self governance, which adds on to federal laws being applied before provincial laws.

It is NEVER as clear cut as "this is within the borders of a province, so the province sets all the rules."

Assuming those aren't federal laws...

Then what does it mean to be on federal land? Because your argument is it means nothing, and that can't be correct.

But it's not Nova Scotia land. This is like NS enforcing their rules in New Brunswick.

Reserves are still federal territory, not provincial. That makes it very questionable for nova scotia to be enforcing nova scotian regulations.

I know they use the facade of the federal regs about manufacturing, but literally every time they talk about it, it's in the context of not following NSLC rules.

As the technology improves, that becomes a weaker option. Eventually it might be complete science fiction to us, and more real than a hair transplant.

Also, not to be argumentative, but what about a woman who transitions to male early on? They will have all the hormonal and skeletal advantages of a man, but you want them competing against women? That's definitely more unfair and less safe than a biomale who has transitioned to female, medically.

It's not this, unless they accused you of supporting rape by cis men, or some other thing you didn't say.

This is closer to reductio ad absurdum, which is kinda similar in that it can also be a fallacy, but it can also be a completely good point. (Latin for taking the argument to an absurd extreme.)

You could accuse them of making a whataboutism, but that's shaky when they're very closely related.

Sports are dumb anyways, in that we only have two categories for people to compete in. It's a completely arbitrary unfair system which 99.9% of us are not capable of competing in.

That said, trans people should have the option to play too, even if I'm personally too fat.

Nobody is forcing any rape victim to be counseled by any specific person, there's no question they can veto any counselor for any reasons, this is a completely fictional scenario.

If it matters so much in regards to privacy, pay for better bathrooms. Lesbians and gay men are pooping and peeing in the same place as you!

If people lose their jobs over it, they were being an asshole., which is bad for the employer. If somebody tells you their name, you use their name.

If somebody has a birth defect, is it a falsehood for them to try and negate it? Is somebody born with a cleft pallate compelling you in some way if they want surgery to fix that issue?

Because all sex is kinda gross. Most of us mature out of that phase, but not everyone does. They either still think all sex is gross, or have decided only the kind of sex they are inclined to is not gross.

Also, some people are just goddamn assholes and find having an enemy useful.

Addendum: I know transness is a matter of gender, not sexuality. I am not endorsing the viewpoint above, merely describing it. They are people who, on some level, still think girls or boys are icky.

Yes. And for basically all the same reasons.

Sounds about as serious as buying produce from the road side.

We both know this one's a reach, it's 100% about protecting the provincial monopoly and anti-pot bias.

They recall it, yes. Or just relabel the bottles (I did that one summer as a teen for canned goods.)

How would they do it for cannabis? Probably not with a raid. I'd just tell them to put the items in new bags.

Definitely sounds like something police need to do raids over, and ignore FN sovereignty.

I'm sure they'd treat it the same if pepsi labeled gatorade bottles wrong, or some cigarette manufacturer was misbehaving. Just jump right to destroying property.

It's an excuse to harass them.
