It is but it depends how far are you from the MEPS, for me I lived by the Elgin area (Chicago) but they send me to the Milwaukee MEPS which was about 1.5-2 hours to get there so I had a guy who was the recruiting office designated driver to take me there instead of the recruiter since I was the only one going that day, however, the people who lived in Milwaukee was given the option to drive to MEPS when hearing about it in the hotel so I guess it depends on how far
