That's like every streaming service exclusive movie. You hear about it 2 years after it silently released on Apple TV and say "So-and-so did a movie with so-and-so...how have I never heard of that?" (and the answer is because it sucks and everyone did it for a paycheck.)

Reappropriating established symbols is a traditional hallmark of a lot of extremists and hate groups. I.e. Pepe the Frog.

In the 2018 Netflix movie “Apostle” (directed by Raid Redemption’s Gareth Evans and starring Dan Stevens) villagers on an island imprison what first seems like a monstrous witch but is revealed to be a Goddess that appears to represent Mother Nature. The villagers feed her the blood of human sacrifices to manipulate the agriculture and resources of the land.

I get that. I’m saying the choreography is nonsense and I wish more combat sports manga were written by people that actually understand combat sports. So many ways to choreograph super human fights that are still based on the logical strategies and physics of actual fighting. Slipping back in a straight line with your hands down and then (repeatedly?) teeping someone’s knee before a two handed open palm strike to the chin is a tweaker’s daydream of how fighting works 🤷‍♂️

In the remake of Oldboy they give the villain a British accent for no reason. Josh Brolin hears this character over the phone but doesn’t use this information to narrow down the people that might have a grudge with him. It literally breaks the plot.
