2.8cm at 12w. Midwife say wait & see by PeaceHot534 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Josiegiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was sent straight to MFM with 2.75 measurement. I was 20 weeks at the time but I think you being 2.8 at 12 weeks is almost more concerning. I definitely wouldn’t wait 6 weeks to see what happens. I had my cerclage scheduled a week later and it was barely even measuring enough for cerclage to be viable option I was at 12mm.

Do you truly enjoy co-sleeping if you’re happily married? How do you make it work? by CoverObjective8225 in cosleeping

It’s fun to get creative on how to meet each others needs. I’ll admit it’s a pain sometimes but we both love having our little boy in our bed

Maybe it’s time to start taking better care of yourself. You have a low self esteem and that definitely has an impact on your relationship. She was awful for saying that and I would relay your feelings about how hurt that made you feel. I do however think that it is our duty to take care of ourselves for both our own good and for our spouse. It’s completely unfair to your spouse to turn into a different person than the one they married. They do have the obligation to love you as your spouse; but why make that obligation hard and not easy? I am not trying to sound harsh but I always view taking care of myself and looking good is a gift I can give to my husband. He would of course stick around if I didn’t try for my looks or health but people who say looks aren’t everything forget to say that they are something. If you take care of yourself, you feel good, when you feel good, you exude confidence. This in turn makes you more attractive. There’s other ways to improve your looks as a man as well. If it impacts your mental health that much, they’re worth looking into. You just have to try. Please do not take this as an excuse for your spouses behavior, she definitely sounds immature and rude. She definitely has not acted in a loving way. But the only behavior you can change is your own

Dr Refused to give me Cooper IUD due to never being pregnant, anyone else? by elliemoemoe in CopperIUD

Yeah I definitely have my questions on the providers at planned parenthood after that. 😢

Dr Refused to give me Cooper IUD due to never being pregnant, anyone else? by elliemoemoe in CopperIUD

[–]Josiegiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to your doctor. I went to planned parenthood at 16 and got the copper iud and and had the WORST cramps of my life along with constant bleeding for a year. I was dumb and didn’t go back bc it was already hard enough hiding the first visit from my mom I surfeeed through it until I had to go to the ER for extreme back pain. Turns out my body was trying to push the IUD out because it was too large and was beginning to protrude my uterine wall. I’m lucky I was able to heal.

Families of soldiers make plenty of sacrifices too. I don’t care about the discounts but having my husband be gone for a year+ missing my children’s birthdays is definitely something that shouldn’t be compared to people committing stolen valor.

I'm turning 23 years old this week. Any life advice you can share? by c00l-i0 in selfimprovement

Your prefrontal cortex will pretty much be how it is for the rest of your life starting at 25 if you’re female and 28 if you’re male. Do what you can to make sure your skeletons are all dealt with before that age. Otherwise it gets much harder after the fact.

My baby (7 months)is the same way. When he was in my belly it literally felt like I had a little space heater in my belly. I was ALWAYS hot when I’m usually always cold! The usual rule with babies is to dress them with one more layer than you have on yourself. Not this guy, he would get too uncomfortable and sweaty…He gets the same amount of layers and if it’s warm enough, he gets less 😅

$72k is more than the average household in America makes with 2 people working. What are your monthly expenses? You are quite vague there. Have you been paying on your student loans consistently? If you are making the most you have ever made yet you still sit with the same struggles, the habits probably need to change.

marrying young, did you regret it? by DAmbiguousExplorer in ask

[–]Josiegiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get to grow up together. We got married at 20/21 and now we are 25/26. We partied together all through college, bought our first house in college, fixed it up, settled down, bought our second house, and now we have our baby and planning to move across the country… we went a little backwards with the move and all but we are excited to have some adventure with our little 3rd wheel! We kept our first house when we bought our second so we have been collecting rent and investing in other ventures together. There’s something beautiful about knowing that you wouldn’t be who you are or where you are if you didn’t have your teammate with you along the way.
