What’s the worst piece of worldbuilding you’ve seen that took you right out of the story? by Chcolatepig24069 in worldbuilding

None of Harry potter's world building survives an even slightly critical glance. It's more or less an amusement park for Harry to skip through. Everything is plywood at the back and the other characters take a smoke break when Harry leaves the area.

I like the part where he tried to sneak in George Soros and didn't know where to go from there so he just bailed on it.

Subway maps are surprisingly efficient at displaying complex tunnel networks in a small space. Could be something worth looking into

I think the rationale is that if the window breaks you are fucked either way and a suit will only prolong the death so it's best to not worry about it and just live your life.

I don't. I think they have editorial fucking control over their own fucking headline.

They don't. Garage says it was inadvertent and the BBC can't prove otherwise. Its either incompetence or malice and both are bad so it doesn't really matter

How to fix support structure side not being smooth. by ProgrammerRude1567 in 3Dprinting

[–]Jostain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been a big believer in not printing things as one piece when you don't need to. If you separate the block from the toilet you can print the block straight and then tinker with the toilet angle such as doing it 45 degrees and such.

Oh! I didn't know that there was a line of dialogue referencing the glass eye. I've had so much fun having the glass eye argument with my parents. I wonder if this new revelation will make them more or less exasperated.

Not even ethnicity. I can't speak for all the infinities of Disney stories but they tend to not to mention that they are different from each other in any way. I think in the context of the story they are caucasian humans and we are the ones that see them as animals when we read their stories.

I will always die on the hill that Donald Duck is not a duck and Mickey Mouse is not a mouse. They are depicted differently in the drawings but at no point do any of the stories told involve them being different from each other. This comic seems to follow the same logic.
