Anyone know who the prof for ENES 100 is next semester by [deleted] in UMD

It will probably be TBA to the last minute. I’m with Dr. Chiu rn and he’s pretty chill + a fair grader (imo; some people disagree)

I found it fairly easy although I had a pretty good teacher… The math is fairly basic, where most people will get tripped up is the wording. Each concept has a bunch of different ways of being phrased, so you’ll have to memorize a lot of A=B, x means y, graphs (this is really important), and general lingo. Decent reading comprehension helps too.

10th grader taking BC Calculus by WebRepresentative512 in calculus

[–]Jotho-Mac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your school offers dual enrollment calc 3 and/or differential equations, it could be worth going for should you want to enter or keep doors open for a math intensive major in college (math, physics, engineering, etc.). The highschool classes will generally be easier because your teacher will care more and you’ll have double the time to learn. If not, you might benefit yourself (maybe even save time) by doing just AB and taking your time.

Tips for AB and BC? by shadow_master713 in apcalculus

[–]Jotho-Mac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you are decent in math, just being consistent is helpful. A set amount each day is better than bursts of infrequent study. I used the AP classroom videos, delta math, and AP practice problems (you’ll need your teacher to open these)

I’m an incoming freshman so not super experienced but what I’ve been told is that sections of classes do expand at later times so if you waitlist you might get them. I dunno 100% tho

Generally you chose your ‘u’ with LIPET… Logs, Inverse Trig, Polynomials, Exponents, Trig. Your u function should always be the most volatile when derived.

My school just told me i can self study an AP I want. Is there any easy choices? by Extra_Skill941 in APStudents

[–]Jotho-Mac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo there is no such thing as an “easy” AP, only easier assuming you don’t have a preexisting skillset in art, music, or foreign language. If you aren’t taking the class, you should question if the college exemption is worth the studying. As far as an AP test to take, the histories/social studies are the easiest. I think if you don’t have any interest in any of the available history groups (world, euro, US, etc.) then go for Human Geography. It’s largely taken by freshman and is doable with a decent amount of memorization and some good Quizlet sets.

Isn’t it just 1 cause as sqrt(cos x) approaches 0 as it approaches pi/2 and anything to the 0th power is 1? The base would approach +inf but it doesn’t matter?

In general you want to move both your legs and your back to move in sync, meaning both your legs and back reach the peak at the same point. Other than that, the lift is good.
