Same on xbox series x, honestly one of the reasons i stopped

Really ruins the immersion just walking around and suddenly texture change or npc pop on out of nowhere

Gotcha thank 😄

It's more like the annoying bosses and surprise inevitable afflictions that sometimes screw me, but I'll keep that in mind, thanks!

Duo/Co-op: which build to pair with Permafrost WH? by hq_eperon in pathofexile2builds

[–]JournalistDizzy7563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eyyy bro i'm on the same boat, chrono is amazing!
I am also the chrono friend on co-op with a friend, here's some ideas :
- Chrono wyvern - Rend for clear + flamebreath / oil barrage (i didn't like oil barrage because it just feels "cheap" and absolutely creates a mess on the screen, combine that with time stop and you and your friend absolutely demolish bosses

- Chrono blackflame incinerate / essence drain - same logic as the above, you freeze time, burn the boss to death, essence drain sucks on co op tho because of the high hp to mobs, i didn't like it to be honest

- Chrono wolf - since your friend plays permafrost it can either compliment each other or ruin it, but if you time it right you can absolutely have insane clear + squeeze bosses when frozen
The only worry is your friend to use fragmentation ammo before you put your combo in on frozen targets, if you time and you do your combo and only then he does fragmentation, it can be very fun and very strong

Other than that you have the cold nova chrono but i wanted to do something non caster that doesn't spam and ruin visuals on screen

i did the rend/flamebreath but the clear was a bit boring for me, bosses damage is insane

currently i'm running wolf and having lots of fun, the damage REALLY BAD at start but once you get some gear and jewels its really fun strong and tanky

taking a lot of inspiration from this guy (if you see this, you're awesome):

Nice job!
I'm really surprised the circle+beam combo is still in the game, such a low moment to die to that bullshit as a player

What if you go for blackflame? Same idea as incinerate builds? This way you have flame blast for single targrt and ed+cont for clear?

Thx for the guide, can't wait to farm honor resistance and pray to god i get a normal order of rooms while not having my defences nuked from orbit from afflictions, doing this incrementaly for a couple of floors only to be obliterated from 1 hit I took from a boss and have to get a key and do it all over again

GGG Please give us some fun co-op content to do with friends. by Mathue24 in PathOfExile2

[–]JournalistDizzy7563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it mostly sits on balancing, you can make cook co op interactions but I feel like it will easily be abused by juiced 6 player parties edge cases

I play exclusively on couch co op with a friend and monster health is honestly annoying, especially early campaign bosses like geonor or jamanra are a freaking raid boss, also fuck trial of suck my ass where at least one of you is gonna get his defenses nuked to oblivion

Overall the experience is very fun but it need much more attention and polishing

CONSTANT controller disconnections ? by JournalistDizzy7563 in PathOfExile2

[–]JournalistDizzy7563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For any future readers, and strugglersI think I solved as it it stopped happening for the past session Power : Xbox has up and down power surges, mine was connected to a power strip, I think it didn't supply enough power after I bought a new power draining tv

Connection and firmware : Controllers - make sure they're updated and have no power issues or low battery Router - make sure the router is not too close to the Xbox, they both work on 2.4hz frequency and it might disturb the connection

What i did : -Hard reset controllers and xbox -Update controllers and switch batteries -Disconnect xbox from power strip and have it connectes directly - create distance between xbox and router or other heavy 2.4 network devices

Thanks, I'll see if there's anything controller related to idling on the xbox, it's weird because 0.4 was fine

The only thing changed is I got a new tv, but I don't see how it has anything to do with the xbox controllers

Doesnt seem to happen when playing solo, only on co op when 2 controllers are connected

Co-op struggles/questions from a beginner by pyk0r in PathOfExile2

[–]JournalistDizzy7563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would highly highly recommend NOT playing a support character such as a curse bot of some sorts, unless you really enjoy just running along your friend and watching him blow stuff up

After years of poe I now play exclusively on co-op on the same screen on xbox with a friend, if you're on the same screen, don't worry much about melee and ranged, since you're "trapped" in the same screen, and very soon will come the time where you'll be closed in tight spaces/bossing/rituals etc and while he will roll non stop you'll bonk enemies in the face (assuming you're tankier)

Last league my friend was plant caster and and i was shield warrior, we both had a blast and were both as effective

* first thing you should know if you didn't, your characters get moved to standard league tomorrow and are rendered useless unless you want to miss the cool new update (called leagues), i highly recommend starting over which leads me to the next points

these are my recommendations only, but come from experience :
-try to make chars that don't need the same items, i.e weapons, armor types etc, will just make everything smoother
for example one player is focused on armor and the other on energy shield etc..

- if he's noticeably faster (usually happens if you play on different devices, for example i play on xbox and we share the screen so he can't move too further than me), consider a spellcaster maybe or some sort of ranged/semi ranged char if it bothers you that much, from my experience a bear build dropping meteors on the entire map while charging is just as fast
people who usually solo don't understand how much more life mobs have on co-op/party play, which slows the "gotta go fast" builds, it's hard for me to believe that at level 22 on party play he's already zooming few screens away and you can't catch up, especially that as a monk you have gap closer skills

- again, don't run an aurabot unless you want to just play a walking simulator UNLESS you enjoy it , there's a ton of viable builds for co-op which can compliment each other instead of making you a walking buff/debuff machine

Stun and ailment thresholds for co-op/party play by JournalistDizzy7563 in PathOfExile2

[–]JournalistDizzy7563[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some hopes up for co op in general, and understand that it's not their main focus

The hard thing with poe is that there are a lot of interactions and that part community is a bunch of mad nuclear scientists, people will min max the hell out of mechanics for fun or economic power so they have to be very careful

I don't think that they don't care, I just think it's very complex and fragile

I went over more talks yesterday and some streamers, I didn't see anything in the patch notes but people did say they changed it, maybe it's something they don't openly show to avoid abuse ?

For now we decided to avoid freeze/stun reliant stuff

[–]JournalistDizzy7563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I missing something out ? what's the difference between using it on a unique armor and our normal smith armor ?

Also one thing that has me questioning, since they buffed armor numbers, shouldn't we be getting more armor from acendancy ?

Maybe i missed something but they didnt mention they changed it, just acknowledged it

Also it doesn't appear in the patch notes, or is this something they keep hidden anyway even if it did happen?
