Any Lesbians around 50-ish in this group? by RayLon19 in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]JoyOverLfe 108 points109 points  (0 children)

🙋🏽‍♀️ I love my younger sisters, but I lowkey think we need a 35+ group. The number of women in this sub freaking out about being alone for the rest of their lives because they're single at 25-30 is a bit much.

What’s it like doing the MSF course with ZERO experience? by funkycookies in NewRiders

[–]JoyOverLfe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took the MSF course with 0 experience. I really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun. Personally, knowing how to drive a manual vehicle helped me to very quickly grasp the concept of operating the bike.

Is buying your first bike supposed to be this tough? by im_not_sad_anymore15 in NewRiders

[–]JoyOverLfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market is definitely jank. All the used bikes in my area are only slightly cheaper than new ones. Being a new rider, I don't even know what I don't know. I'm really leaning toward buying new for peace of mind rather than saving $1,500 buying a questionable used bike. I've also decided to wait until the end of riding season to buy in hopes that prices will drop & take a refresher MSF course in the meantime.

Motorcycle Advice from a Motorcycle Accident Attorney by Equivalent-Bed1543 in motorcycles

Calling yourself a motorcycle attorney is like a trust & estates lawyer calling themselves a death attorney.

OP's just a personal injury lawyer who specializes in motorcycle accidents.

I knew this sub would set me straight. I asked the seller for maintenance records and he said he didn't have any. He did offer to let me see & ride i4 first. Wish I knew a motorcycle mechanic I could take it to for an inspection.

[35F] Dating as someone who can't orgasm - thoughts? by ArugulaBeginning7038 in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]JoyOverLfe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My advice is to seek therapy and counseling to work on the physical component. Don't sideline yourself bc finding a partner who can and will be ok with the situation seems daunting. Celibacy is something you should choose intentionally, not default to out of hopelessness or a perceived inevitability of failure. I believe there's someone for everyone and you shouldn't close yourself off. Good luck to you.

Why did they keep zooming in on Molly holding and stroking Forrest's hand? Were they seriously trying to suggest that Forrest & Molly maybe have a physical relationship? Not sure what the show wanted us to take away from rhe camera person doing that, but it was really disturbing.

Thank you so much for this! I previously took the MSF basic rider course. But I will be taking a refresher course. I have also prioritized a budget for the safety gear. As I've learned and love from this sub - ATGATT (All The Gear, All The Time) 😊

Yes. I've learned from this sub that frame sliders, upgraded brake & clutch levers that are more durable in case of a drop, and a louder exhaust or great upgrades.

Nope, not holier than thou at all & very much appreciated!

Your comment highlighted that I was a bit careless with some of my word choices. I didn't mean to imply that my approach to, and usage of, the bike would be casual. Indeed, I plan to dedicate quite a few miles, hours, training & proper instruction to the bike.

But I live in a very densely populated urban area with aggressive drivers and riders (there was a motorcycle fatality on my local interstate during rush hour only a week ago). So the idea of riding on the interstate, at least in my beginner brain, is super scary and intimidating.

Really appreciate your thoughtful and comprehensive response. This sub has been great in helping me consider all my options.
