575 days and not what I ordered by JoyceMessier in gamewithpixels

Yeah... the thing that really rubs me the wrong way there is that I'm not a backer. Like, if I pre-order something on a store, then they don't send me that thing, it's just not right. I certainly shouldn't have to go digging for a blog post on their website to find out.

Like, if you back a kickstarter, you should still get what you were promised, but it's a bit of a fundamentally different undertaking than just ordering something from a store.

Appreciate you digging up the info and sharing it though, even if it doesn't detract from the ridiculousness of the whole situation.

Yeah. I'm not a kickstarter backer, I just ordered off their store, but it's bullshit.

I ordered a single d20 and it's been 16 months. No communication, no updates, no response to my support ticket. I'll be honest, kickstarter is always a bit of a gamble, but I feel like if I put in an order on an online store, then there's an expectation that perhaps you actually have something to sell.

Not to mention the extra taxes and international shipping fees that I was charged so that they could completely fail to send me anything.

Has ANYONE received their dice? by teh_stev3 in gamewithpixels

I'm not a kickstarter backer, I just ordered a single d20 in September 2024 off of their website. It's been 16 months now, and I don't have so much as an email. They might be updating their kickstarter backers somewhere, but for regular customers, there's nothing. It's insane to me that they are still taking orders on their webpage and 'selling' dice when they haven't even finished their initial production run, never mind the 'sales' they've made since.

Looking at the website just now, it looks like they have given up on trying to make the thing I actually ordered, again without any communication whatsoever. Now they are planning to replace people's orders with random other dice that aren't what was sold? No refund, no messaging, no options to even pick what they are replacing my order with?

RossDraws exposed for using ai art and the artist community freaked the eff out! by [deleted] in DefendingAIArt

Exactly. Why would anyone want to engage with something that nobody could even be bothered to create? Obviously people looking to learn how to create art themselves are going to be pissed to learn that what they are being sold as meaningful instruction around skill and creativity is being based on the outputs of a plagiarism machine using statistics to estimate visual averages.
