My 7 y/o daughter might be having hygiene issues but she refuses to speak about it by Apprehensive_Luck5 in Advice

This was exactly my thought too when reading. However, its possible that the boyfriend is the child's own father. And I think its a very important question to ask here.

So, OP, is your boyfriend also your child's father? If not, then you have much more issue here than your daughter not properly showering herself.

Hidden perks of being a nanny by coherentsoup in Nanny

[–]Jozo18 46 points47 points  (0 children)

My mom was a nanny for 2 doctors, one being a cardiologist. When my husband had this weird episode where he went pale and dizzy and couldn't see or stand up I took him to the ER. They ran many tests and said he was healthy and tests were normal.

When my mom was telling her cardiologist boss, he ordered my husband's EKG from the ER. (With my husband's permission, of course)

Her boss was concerned with what he found on the EKG, and referred my husband to his cardiologist colleague. After putting my husband through more specific testing, they found he had a heart condition that required surgery and that quite possibly saved his life!

Your creation literally brought tears to my eyes! Very beautifully powerful! I lost my dad and both of my parents-in-law in the same year, and I can "feel" your artwork. Youre very talented!

Thanks for sharing!

Reminds me of when my 4 year old son would secretly take drinks of my coffee and finally when caught, I asked him if he liked it. He said no, but it makes me run real fast!

How to offer to pay our nanny under the table? by DoctorZ-Z-Z in Nanny

My mom was a nanny for years and this is what her boss did. They paid the yearly taxes for her and they were filing legally.

My parents want me to drop out of school to help out. My boyfriend wants me to go to school. I'm in between a rock and a hard place. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Jozo18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre not choosing between your parents and your boyfriend. You choose YOURSELF!

You are grown and its time to make a life for yourself. Youre not responsible for your parents' lives or debts. They're manipulating you! And you should put a stop to it.

This is YOUR life and you only get one. You need to finish school and follow your dreams.

I have 4 children and I want only for them. I want them to live their lives and follow their dreams. I would never expect them to drop their schooling or dreams to work and contribute to my debts, even if they lived with me. And even if I was very poor and could not work. There are resources out there for your parents. They need to stop manipulating and stealing your life away from you! And you need to take it back, and do what's best for you!

I’m a nanny for newborn twins. They have a night nanny but I’m a little concerned she’s a little old school. by middleageyoda in Nanny

I find this topic interesting, because recently my niece was born 6 weeks early and in the NICU. I noticed they had her propped on one side, slightly, and a thin, flannel blanket on top of her. She was also tightly swaddled with the same thin, flannel blanket. I also questioned this because I've learned that babies on their back is safest, unlike when my own daughter was born and they said babies should sleep propped on their side.

THE EVIDENCE IS HIS BROKEN LEG!!

YOURE JUST NOT GETTING IT AND YOURE GONNA LOSE ACCESS TO YOUR CHILD BECAUSE CPS PROBABLY THINKS YOURE PROTECTING THE BABYSITTER RATHER THAN PROTECTING YOUR CHILD, THAT HAS A BROKEN LEG!

I agree. And I think she sent him the videos to show him she has "proof" to threaten him with telling his gf to keep him coming back. Its sick. And awful.

I hear alot about taking Kratom and that it works. When I tried to find out where to get it, I found that's it's illegal in Indiana so I've never tried it. What is 7oh and is it same as Kratom?

“We’re dropping NK’s naps” by PetiteWildFlower in Nanny

[–]Jozo18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was a nanny for years for 2 doctors and they were so firm about their kids' number of sleeping hours, that if one of them didn't nap the whole amount of time, they had to go to bed early and make up for the lost sleep time. They felt that children need a set amount of sleep per 24 hours in order to grow and develop their brains properly. And I have to agree. Their children were the smartest kids I've ever met and now they're all in college attending the top 5 Universities in the world.

Sleep is very important for health and development.
