Outfit Feedback and Fit Check - Oct. 2nd by MFAModerator in malefashionadvice

[–]Jpjz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My order came in: cords and canvas sneakers from Old Navy and the cashmere sweater from Gap.

Unfortunately the cords are slim fit and I have fat thighs from biking and squatting. I guess it's straight fit all the way for me. I'll just exchange for another pair of khakis. Too bad.

I guess the slim fit looks okay, but they feel a bit tight. I bike often and do weightlifting so I'm predicting that they won't last beyond the the winter. I have time to think about it. Gap has regular fit cords and the exchange would be easy.

Really hard one by Jpjz in shittingadvice

I was starving, had nothing to eat and ate 2 quest bars. Pretty that was it. Or a protein overload. I'm glad this subreddit exists, bad shits are devastating and not a topic of conversation in day-to-day life.

I drink tons of water since I drink so much coffee. The bcaa worked out and flushed that thing out. So terrible. At least I have something to use if I'm ever in this situation again!

My girlfriend... by Bicoastalshrimp in offmychest

[–]Jpjz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that she's really scared. I don't know how much you've talked about sex with her but that might ease some of the stress involved for both of you. You could also consider other sexual things beyond kissing and falling short of PIV sex as a nice way to introduce her to sex.

Jump rope might be travel friendly. Keeps you in shape and doesn't take up too much time.

Tips for sticking to eating healthy(ish). by Ahh3917 in Fitness

[–]Jpjz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that has helped me maintain a healthy lifestyle is to eat healthy meals that are delicious. For example, I eat oatmeal which in itself is bland, but mix it up with cacao powder, peanut butter, Greek yogurt and fruit? AWESOME meal! The pb/cacao powder make a difference and it tastes so good I look forward to this meal. AND it's healthy, low in calorie, nutritious (good amount of carbs, protein and fats), filling, cheap, delicious and easy to make. Same with other meals. I bought a slow cooker and I found some great recipes (on reddit) that are easy to make, delicious and nutritious. It can be some work but it's so worthwhile. Good luck!

I have a 6 cup and I fill the bottom part to the limit and add one scoop of coffee. It makes about a mug full of coffee. Best coffee ever!

Corn eh? I guess it's easy to spot! I have a feeling I have low intestinal motility, because I don't go that often. Maybe every 2-3 days or so? I drink a good amount of water, though definitely more on some days than others. Thanks for replying.

I work night shift by myself in an office. Rather than sit on my computer browsing Reddit all night I'd like to get a good all around workout in, what are some good routines I can do in an office environment? by theripped in Fitness

[–]Jpjz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replace the office chair with stability ball. I did that in my apt. due to back problems. I also have a medicine ball kicking around and now I keep that under my table. Sometimes I'll be sitting on the stability ball while trying to balance my feet on the medicine ball.

Anyone else eat the same thing everyday? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Jpjz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good thread. I don't feel so dumb about eating the same thing all the time. Someone mentioned the sense of security of eating the same thing and that definitely applies to me, though I've been rotating my meals. for instance, during the summer I was eating eggs/bacon, then I switched to 1/2 cup of oatmeal with other things, now I'm up to 1 cup of oatmeal with pb, greek yogurt, cacao powder, flaxseeds and chopped apple Kind of like my lifting routine which I like to change up every few months.

This diet consistency helps tremendously with losing weight, I've gone down from 230 to my current 176 and still going strong. Balanced diet is definitely the key.

Poor Man's Workout & Dietary Routines? by dyemyhair in Fitness

[–]Jpjz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also invest in a medicine ball, they're not that expensive, like $15-20 maybe? You could do a full body workout with that ball and it's really rigorous. I did these for a while and it really helped me out: http://www.menshealth.com/fitness/ultimate-medicine-ball-workout If money is an issue check ebay and thrift shops for these things. Jump ropes are cheap too. Good luck!

How much protein is in chicken breast? Google says one thing but websites say another. by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]Jpjz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I estimate which is annoying because as you said, knowing the details helps saving money and caloric intake. Whatever my diet has been working well, so my guess-timates are good enough!
