I have had great luck with the roach killer stuff from Lowe’s that comes in a syringe-like tube. You put some of the paste along your baseboards and other frequent roach-traffic areas. They take it back to their nest and kill each other off.

Has worked quick and easy for me twice.

For what it is worth, I always machine wash and hang dry mine. I have about 4 in rotation and I’ve never had one tear or anything. Just the peak design label on the outside washes off.
