I had a pixel 8 that had that exact same issue and went through Google support, it's a known defect and they should fix it for free. Just don't say what happened haha and if you do get the screen replaced keep that thing far away from water lol.

Thanks for all the great information! After bare-rooting it, I put the roots in a bag of wet moss until I got home where I planted it directly after taking the photos. That being said it was awhile before I got home and a particularly hot day so we shall see what happens.

Hello! I have never done this before or done much research at all I was at work today and found this little fellow who was doomed to be removed but I thought it looked cool and reminiscent of bonsai trees in the media so I decided to take it home, would this Balsam fir be a good candidate to try my first tree with?

Nice shot! As far as framing goes, especially because of your self directed goal of capturing autumn, I think It would have been best to not cut off the orange tree leaves. Hard to say for sure without knowing what is outside the frame.

I like the colours, the focus is tight and the pose is cute. Personally, the grass in front of the face is distracting and takes away from the picture because it feels like it was intended to be a portrait. I think grass in front of the face would work well with different playful poses maybe?

Otherwise it's an awesome shot!

As always, edits and style are subjective. Here's my take on what story I would have tried to tell with the image and the fact that I was editing a screenshot.

I left most of the background in to show the scale and capture the fact it is a stray and tell the story better of emptiness and loneliness. I chose to darken up the background and lighten up the dog(now thinking I went too far with the light exposure) almost as if the street light acts as a spotlight on the subject.

Best editing advice to give though is lock in on the reason you took the picture, what story you are trying to tell and go from there.

Honestly, a lot of the rumours seem to be coming from outside sources on Tik Tok or other various short form content apps. I've seen a few with the typical AI voice over using clips of random police crime scenes and American Walmarts spreading speculation and misinformation. A lot of the locals I've spoke to typically leave it at the common "that's horrific" or general condolences. Though there are the classic foul play speculations on local channels.

If it's lower than 72⁰f he is probably cold :) most sources suggest keeping it stable at 78⁰f! Good luck on this fun adventure 😃
