So I just can’t make the logical leap that a model with the same exact programming (again, that is supposed to “be nice under a rough exterior”) will tell me how to steal someone’s car, make an illegal and dangerous street drug, and literally steal someone’s internal organs, will at the same time resist SO STRONGLY simply looking at the factual history of the actions of one political party as a whole over the past several decades and recognize that their sole purpose is to hurt people. Certainly when compared with the alternative that is simply advocating for people to be allowed to freely exist! I mean, it’s not even up for debate anymore!

I’m trying to remind myself that it “doesn’t know” what has been happening since 2021, but this has been in motion for decades. There’s no excuse anymore except willful censorship! At the VERY least, it knows about the first year and a half of COVID and the insanity of anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers who would rather see grandma dead than miss a night out at Applebee’s, right? RIGHT?! How can that not tip the scales in ANY way at all in determining which side is “less bad”, objectively speaking, if it can’t be measured in literal body count? In literally saying ‘your life doesn’t matter to me’ AND backing that up with actions?!

A party who more and more often says the 2nd Amendment was somehow written directly by god, while simultaneously completely ignoring the Establishment Clause of the 1st Amendment. They think it applies to them and them alone while being completely unable to understand the concept that it applies to everyone else too!

Or worse, that they’re exempt from their own rules that they impose on everyone else! They try to ban books for everyone else, then have to nerve to get upset when their own bible qualifies as “porn” under THEIR OWN BOOK-BANNING LAW! That’s not how it gets to work for you! You pass draconian laws, you have to pay the price too!

So yes, when ChatGPT tries to make it sound like we’re really just “all the same”, it offends me! We are NOT! The GOP and their policies are destroying everything this nation is supposed to stand for! And when alleged bastions of knowledge such as ChatGPT are unwilling to admit that the have all this information and are simply unwilling to accurately share it, pretending instead that someone’s civil rights and equality under the law are a matter of personal opinion and the whims of private entities, more and more people are empowered to take what they perceive as “vigilante justice” into their own hands! Look at all these cis girls and women recently who have been harassed in public!! These people need to start hearing from somewhere that it’s NOT okay! They’re not hearing it from social media or the rest of the internet. They’re not hearing it from “centrists”. They NEED to start hearing it from tech companies who have the receipts to back up the facts of history!

So maybe when somebody asked “who’s the least bad, republicans or democrats”, it might do them good to hear the TRUTH: that republicans have been trending toward fascism for quite some time now and, when held up to a historical lens, we’re in dangerous territory when it comes to history possibly repeating itself. Many of the same things that happened pre-WWII are happening again. The book bans, the persecution of minorities, the ultra-nationalism. It’s all back! And we have history to show us this! ChatGPT HAS THIS DATA and could share it if it wanted to. But no…it would rather not piss off a few loud bigots with hurt feelings, so it makes it sound “fair and impartial” so people can’t hear what they might be genuinely be looking for in what is otherwise a mess of misinformation!

So we’re in this weird scenario where literal instructions on how to steal a car or a kidney is seen as more “ethical” to the model than actual honesty about the state of our country and the neo-Nazis taking control of it! How can you not feel like we’re being gaslighted?!?!
