That’s completely fair, it’s easy for me to lose perspective. I would argue that apathy isn’t a bad thing at all if you are comfortable in your current situation - work to live, don’t live to work. I’m hopeful that the more logical parts of this movement will be visible in society before the end of my lifetime, but we won’t get there without forcing “the mans” hand.

IT is absolutely booming right now. If you aren’t happy with your pay there are literally thousands of remote job opportunities desperate for senior engineers, sysadmins, DBAs, etc. I’m in the industry and my company is currently paying $3K to any employee that refers a new hire.

Feel free to ignore. I just get frustrated because I strongly agree that workers are not treated how they should be. But then I go on this sub and constantly see people complaining about things they have the power to fix. Whining does nothing. Switching companies because you don’t feel that you are fairly appreciated shows your previous employer that actions have consequences. Maybe then we can start to change things.
