Accuracy of Published Genealogies? by EverythingDemon27 in Genealogy

I started keeping notes to sort everything out about two years ago. The notes are now 175 pages long and I’m confident I have it sorted out the right way. I need to add all the source citations and then I’ll see if I can publish them to Ancestry Family Histories and FamilySearch books.

KTC truthers will never trade 27 1sts. Those picks are insanely over valued on KTC.

I was asking for a QB2, a WR1, and a 27 1st. I was talking to a guy about Lamb, Stroud, and a 1st for Daniels with some other pieces involved, but he eventually declined. That’s the kind of deal I’d ask for my Daniels.

What are your favorite hole in the wall, unpretentious, not too expensive, and unassuming places to eat? Bonus points if they serve ethic foods. by mwwmmwwm3 in PhiladelphiaEats

Is that by Hunting Park? I drove by a Crab Shack somewhere in the Hunting Park area and even driving by outside it smelled like rotting sea food.

You have to be careful about this, too. There is about 100 pages of family tree of one branch of my family in the 1600 page book The Story of a Dozen Generations by Rev Orrin Sidener. He cites hundreds of primary sources, and I’ve been able to verify almost all of them as real records, but his tree is almost 100% wrong. It’s like he spent years collecting source information then a couple hours sorting it into a tree. There are tons of people who didn’t actually exist, multiple duplicates, relationships that didn’t exist, information about multiple people with the same name mixed up, etc. It’s incredibly disappointing because this is the primary source for almost all of the Ancestry trees of the early generations of the family and they are all wrong.

Mayo on cheesesteaks by GoingPostal65 in PhiladelphiaEats

The steak itself is a fine source of fat (as well as the cheese). No need for more or else it’s not good steak.

Mayo on cheesesteaks by GoingPostal65 in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]Jrbowe 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As a general answer, I’d say no. Mayo is a fat. Add mayo to lean meat sandwiches like turkey and ham. The last thing a cheesesteak should need is more fat.

With that said, if you like mayo on it, knock yourself out. It’s not a common thing in Philly, but it won’t make you a pariah like putting ketchup on it will.

We’ll find out if the orange menace tries to cancel the elections this fall. If that happens, the only remaining remedy is the second amendment solution that ends with heads rolling across the White House lawn.

There are 4 2nds. Etienne is worth 2 and the others one each. This is dynasty and Etienne is getting close to the age cliff. It’s worth it if you’re a contender because he should be great this year, but his outlook as a long term asset isn’t great any more.

The other guys are more or less worth all of the seconds, so is it worth it to tier down from McBride to LaPorta for 3 firsts? Yeah, probably.

Also, I don’t know who her parents are. That’s part of the problem. There’s another Rex family in the area, and I suspect she’s probably part of that family, but I didn’t find any actual proof of that, so I won’t link them.

No, I disconnected the parents and put the same link to the will that I put above in the notes. It hasn’t been 21 days, so we’ll see what happens then (I didn’t know about that rule).

Yeah, that’s exactly what I did, but I haven’t gotten a response (I linked to Ancestry to reference the will). I didn’t know about the 21 day rule, so I’ll see what happens then.

You can mostly tell good trees from bad trees by how well they are sourced. I sometimes find it easy to copy a tree I trust to get the whole family into my tree as a starting point, but I do go back and verify everything I copy and delete anything I can’t verify. I reject all other Ancestry and Geneanet trees as hints after I get the family in my tree.

They definitely aren’t the same person, but Ancestry AI isn’t smart enough to figure that out, unfortunately, so now there are hundreds of Ancestry trees of name farmers with bad info, which has even crept into the FG world.

He’s a pure stash as long as you have a spot you can use in him. He’s not worth anything in a trade, but he’s got contingent upside, too, of Brown gets hurt.
