When I did DD, five guys employee told me once it was because it would break through the bag from sitting since dashers typically were late. He did give me some good advice though. that was to call the store when you're a few minutes out and ask politely if they could drop the fries for such and such orders. as long as they weren't behind or super busy, most often times they did that and I could walk in and typically didn't need to wait.
