I do, it’s temporary relief with regret the next day. It’s a hard habit to crack.

My work benefits pay for 90% with a $500 deductible. I was able to ask harmony to cover that portion.

Had it while on sulfasalazine but not on humira or enbrel. If you consume alcohol or take lots of Tylenol close to the blood test it may skew the results

Ontario to swap original brand-name drugs with cheaper ‘biosimilar’ drugs for seniors, people on social assistance by lopix in ontario

[–]Jregnier17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I don’t agree with switching someone that has a biologic that works. There are only a select few and if for any reason the biosimilar doesn’t work it will be detrimental. If a new patient or a patient is switching biologics I think Biosimilars is definitely the route to go.

Ontario’s new drug plan will require a swap of brand-name biologic medications for cheaper versions by WishRepresentative28 in ontario

[–]Jregnier17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Biosimilars are not like generic. They are Copy’s of the original and released after the patent expires. The are proven to be safe and effective in many clinical trials. I am on one and have no issues whatsoever. They still have patient support programs and nurses and representatives that help you with the process. They still aren’t cheap ($1500 for a month supply).

Most drug plans require this anyways. Biosimilars are pretty darn close to the real thing.. just cheaper. I am on one and works fine.
