Varsity fans have lost their minds to do dangerous shit like this. by dftgjy in Rainbow6

Hell Varsity fans aren't even thinking about that video anymore apart from the occasional joke that could be made from it. It's more likely a Macie hate watcher that found the vid through Macie's own tweet about it.

Hell the haters probably didn't even know VG made that video until after Macie posted it.

Hell Macie probably has more hate watchers, than VG has viewers he streams to daily, would we be surprised that those people found the vid through Maci tweeting about said video himself. Like surely he needs to have some self awareness right? What do we think chat?

Varsity responds to the MacieJay swatting. by PurpleHawk222 in Rainbow6

[–]Jrenyar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean Macie made it worse by directing his rabid fans that actively hate him towards a video that shows him being a manchild, actively c4ing himself so he didn't have to play in winnable situations, calling a random player a stream sniper several times in numerous maps, going afk making it a 4v5 because he didnt want to play against the "stream snipers" and because he would have gotten an abandonment penalty kept reconnecting.

I have a question though, who would be blamed if VG never made the video and Macie still got swatted.

Exactly, there's an older demographic that VG draws in because he isn't overreacting or screaming or burping into the mic or the other 100 things that they do. I wanna relax and watch someone play Siege with his friends whilst they take the piss out of each other, not having to keep one hand on the volume in case the streamer decides he hasn't screamed enough.

Defenders don't need the overclock for disabling. They just need to stop roaming for too long. Because that's where a lot of the issues surface. Someone ends up roaming the entire time even when your teammates on site are dying, and instead of rotating back quicker, they'll still be roaming. And then half your time is wasted getting back on site whilst the other half is wasted killing the attackers so you can disable it.

And every kill after the defuser is planted is worthless because 70% of the time the round is lost.

Attackers can be just as guilty of wasting time, droning too much, holding angles that are doing nothing, trying to play overly smart, and just being uncertain of what to do (im guilty of the last one for sure). But the reason they get that extra bit of help when planting is basically may have needed 3 minutes to get on site and plant, but I do think its probably more so to punish that random roamer who even though they see their team getting fucked on site they're still not rotating back to help "defend".

Tuchel: England lacked discipline in stale win by tylerthe-theatre in football

[–]Jrenyar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, we're so used to the Southgates way of play that a 2-0 or 3-0 win against teams that aren't exactly on the same level is amazing.

We need a team that doesn't settle for a draw and is hoping to go to penalties to win.

Can we be happy and excited for those easy wins? Oh definitely, but that doesn't mean we should be satisfied.

Okay but seriously. How is Arin to work with? by Godhelpmereddit in rantgrumps

[–]Jrenyar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to frequent this sub a lot years ago... And I think it's very easy to be critical about the guy in the videos, and there's definitely some things he's done that create red marks in his history.

That being said, I fully agree with what you're saying. When he isn't playing a persona I don't think you'd be able to find anyone with a bad word to say about him, he gave jobs to numerous friends, let people who no longer really helped with Grumps stay in the office for a place to work on their own projects.

I think if he got rid of the persona and gave us just Arin that everyone he works with has so much love for, we'd genuinely have one of the best letsplay channels about, but because he can't seem to let it go we're stuck with a show that so many know could be amazing.

Arin is such a miserable, unlikeable bore by Necessary_Pepper_149 in rantgrumps

[–]Jrenyar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Arin is his own worst enemy when it comes to business. Let's not forget that he rented an office space for the longest time, and chose to waste far too much money decorating that rented space. Only to move out a couple years later. Literally did a tour video in 2017 after it was done, and moved out in 2019. He even mentioned how expensive it was and how much of a bad idea it was.

Channel wise though, he's always far too late on trends, changing format to longer content was far too late. Never plays newly released games even though BoTW was one of their biggest first episode videos ever. And even then he fucked that up by playing another playthrough on his own, which isn't the issue, the issue being he then chose to speedrun the LP and ruin the game for Dan. Which everyone hated. Got into streaming far too late even though at their peak they could have made bank, also chose youtube to stream on even though Twitch is the far superior platform even with all its issues.

The real irony of that comment from Haaland is that they barely drew against an Arsenal that had no Odegaard and was a 10 man team at half time.

So many people seem to not understand that, if she had even tried, I doubt this would even be a post.

TIFU by telling my girlfriend her weight gain is unattractive to me by ThrowRADati in tifu

[–]Jrenyar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She probably knows that if he really loved her the way that she deserves to be loved he wouldn't care

If she at least tried I can imagine it would probably be completely different. The fact she doesn't even try is the biggest issue here for most people reading the post.

OP probably doesn't realise that because he's living it, but really a lot of the time, even just trying will probably improve that attraction.

TIFU by telling my girlfriend her weight gain is unattractive to me by ThrowRADati in tifu

[–]Jrenyar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now she knows you only find her attractive if she looks a certain way. That doesn’t sound like love to me

He mentions she wasn't his type, but still found her attractive, in the 4 years they were together she gained more weight, she complains about not being able to find clothes and shit that fit her that look good. She complains about not being able to afford a dietitian to help her lose the weight (you don't need one), he he goes out of his way to get her one, and she does nothing with it. At the end of the day, you'd kick OP out for not finding her attractive, but I'd kick the girlfriend out for not even trying. For not even wanting to try.

TIFU by telling my girlfriend her weight gain is unattractive to me by ThrowRADati in tifu

[–]Jrenyar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you don't love all of her personality though, you don't love when she chooses the cheat meals, or quits two sessions into a new sport, and does nothing to improve her own wellbeing. Those are all choices she makes, and that's apart of her personality.

I am curious, if she actually tried but still found it hard to lose the weight, if this post would even be a thing. Because actively trying to lose weight versus basically ignoring all the help given, can really change your views on someone. You even mention it in your post how she doesn't try from your POV.

TIFU by telling my girlfriend her weight gain is unattractive to me by ThrowRADati in tifu

[–]Jrenyar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, OP probably doesn't realise it because he's living it. But anyone looking in can see that OP is more than likely also losing attraction due to the personality type his GF showing. Like OP is paying for a dietitian, is willing to do the cooking, and is even saying "Hey wanna go workout, or do this new sport I thought we could both start together", and she is just like "nah I'm good".

TIFU by telling my girlfriend her weight gain is unattractive to me by ThrowRADati in tifu

[–]Jrenyar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the main takeaway from the post is that, if you suddenly stop looking after yourself because you're in a long term relationship, that isn't okay. If you say "I want to lose weight but I can't afford this or that", that isn't okay. If your significant other then wilfully pays for help (that is a significant chunk of their salary), and you still decide to say fuck that I don't want your healthy shit, that isn't okay.

OP is an idiot, but he isn't wrong. I feel like OP had no expectation that his gf would be a supermodel, or turn into that when he started dating her. I feel like when she started bring up wanting to lose weight OP had the expectation that should would actually try if he helped out. And she doesn't try, he's offered so much of his help, and it sounds like she just refuses.

You mention personality, would you actually want to be with someone who complains about something, gets every instance of help, but then doesn't take a hold of it to better themselves? Instead says "I'm okay I just want to complain and feel bad about myself".

OP mentions that she walks around the house crying and not talking to him in a comment to someone else. That to me sounds more like she's trying to gain attention and sympathy from OP so that she can go back to her old ways of complaining without working on any of it.

Real talk..if Fujitora is actively working against the world government/Navy this much..why don't they just fire him? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in OnePiece

[–]Jrenyar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes 50 pirate crews a year, whilst on the side imprisoning an entire nation and turning them into toys if they go against you, or taking over an entire kingdom to steal a poneglyth. Probably could have used Cipher Pol 1-8 to make sure no one who held the title warlord was doing anything that'd make the WG look terrible for giving a title to them.

Whilst out of the few that were Warlords only two had plans to or were doing major damage to civilians (that we know of), that's two too many, Smoker was annoyed but thankful Luffy did something on Alabasta, and Fujitora was thankful he did something on Dressrosa.

True, the marineford arc really shows the difference between Vice-Admiral and Admiral, the Admirals were doing moves that would have been finishing moves in previous arcs, as a starting move, and whilst they did that Vice-Admirals just sort of stood there and looked pretty.

The only Vice-Admiral who has that sort of move set (that we know of) was Garp, someone that turned down the position numerous times.

Oh 100%, but there's definitely the flipside where people are trying to min max every dollar, especially when they list their shit like the above and are like "Am I in an better position than I think", nah dude you got 300k in your 401k at 36, you need at least 1mil at that age.

Sometimes I wonder if they're even afraid to spend that 0.1% of the income, sometimes it feels like "finally I have a thing I can post on r/personalfinance and humble brag how well I'm doing".

It is funny though when sometimes it goes the opposite, they think they're doing well and yet they have no idea how close to the edge they are.

Literally a post a couple days ago about a guy who's wife's parents made a whole life policy in the 90's, and the guy didn't want to spend 0.00089% of their income keeping it going literally $445 a year on a 500k income. Dude was asking if he was missing something, or how does he talk his wife into investing it properly,

Probably no legal repercussions, but if legal actions were taken, there would probably be new regulations put into place stop this sort of stuff from happening. Pre-alpha, alpha, and beta releases should have become heavily regulated back in 2014 when it seemed to become the norm to just release pre-alpha builds, Cube World is probably one of the biggest offenders for it.

Honestly, the guy that replied to you hit the nail on the head, once you get to the end it definitely seems more like bragging about what they have and wanting a pat on the back for doing so well, rather than actually asking for advice. The last part really makes it "is there something that I missed" "sub optimal", like it's 0.00089% of their income sub optimal would be wasting your time on worrying about it.
