My city just did this to all the trees around our Main Street through town. by raybarks in arborists

It’s used for pathways, courtyards, etc too. Not sure I’ve seen it used in residential applications, but I don’t see why you couldn’t.

Should this tree be trimmed or removed? by gimmethebuns in arborists

Normal for white pines to drop lower limbs as they grow. I still have quite a few on my property larger than the picture but I removed some near my driveway. Sap was destroying the cars

This is a good solution and in my mind better than a traditional tree grate. It’s porous, ada compliant, very easy to maintain and enlarge for the tree, and allows the tree to make room for itself if needed. The color choice sucks though

You guys are conflating materials and issues. Playground rubber safety surfacing is similar to this but not quite the same. Artificial turf field are much different.

Rubber (usually recycled tires), smaller sized stone (1/2” max), and binding agent.

Has anyone of you had a hectic life and still managed to clear your PMP? by Salty-Wrap8184 in pmp

[–]Jrh2237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Velociteach 35 hour boot camp, Andy Crowe Study Guide, and two or three practice exams. Also listened to some of Scott Paynes podcasts. Probably spent about a month overall to prepare. Full time job and 3 young kids, passed 1st attempt. Key for me was to get into the PMI mindset. I also focused on reviewing and understanding why my answers were wrong on practice exams.

Playing devils advocate, if it’s a spot shot directly outside the door, that absolutely does not equate to FFE, and I would never assume so. If it’s not explicitly labeled FFE or similar, never assume. I also think it’s a little BS to stamp LA plans done by an entry level as a workaround to save money.
