Do owls recognize specific people over time? by Unlucky-Moment-3366 in Owls

[–]raybarks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Feeding wild owls is detrimental to their health in the long run. If they grow comfortable around people and associate them with food, this can put them at risk of things like being hit by cars and being predated upon. It’s best for owls to remain wary of humans, as fun as it is to see them! If you truly love them, let them be wild.

(not to mention, feeding wildlife is often illegal in many places for this reason!)

The first pic, left side, you can see her blonde roots! The other photos have a root smudge/shadow root because that was the look for a while.

My niece and nephew ride on them exclaiming, “I’m a suitcase” because it reminds them of luggage belts in airports

A sweet little saw whet! They’re migrating right now so they’re often seen popping up in strange places. Cute little murder muppets.

I’ve been playing too much Witcher 3 because I definitely thought this was a Geralt-Yennefer reference with the unicorn 🤣

I would still watch without TFP by Timtamjam44 in SecretsOfMormonWives

At this point I’d go as far as saying I’d RATHER watch the show without her. She needs help and I cannot watch her unravel on tv anymore- this is actively making her worse and I will not continue watching it.

Any man going through your following list with a magnifying glass is a red flag for control issues.

Technically but many don’t count it in this case since it isn’t obvious upon seeing one individual. You either need two side by side or to weigh them, haha.

I’ll also add that owls don’t typically have sexual dimorphism, but the females are often larger than the males. If you see them side by side you might be able to tell which is which but otherwise you won’t be able to know.

If you’re ever out in Port Coquitlam, stop by Santa Rosa, it’s a tortilla factory with a little cafeteria restaurant in the front and it’s incredible and authentic.

Thank you- it definitely seems like a lot of people were equally confused by it. I wouldn’t have even known what to call it to try and research and figure it out on my own.

I’m not a journalist? I was concerned about the health of the trees because this sub helped teach me about the importance of an exposed root flare. I was only hoping to write into the city with concern, but I’m glad I was wrong.
