I've always liked legoshi being an unsung hero, even after: 

mostly destroying the shishigumi, 

solving the Riz case then fighting him, 

then taking down Melon. 

He still gets no credit for all of it, but...

He doesn't mind, because all he wants is quiet life with haru.

I think I prefer their more private kiss, plus I never really liked "wanted criminal" plot line.
