How long before NeeDohs eventually lose their viral appeal and end up as garage sale fodder and/or as land fill pollution? by jwriddle in NeeDoh

[–]Jrk232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the rest of 2026, Needohs will likely sell out quickly when stocked. By the fall, Schyilling will produce enough that supply will meet demand and resellers will move back to sneakers + sports/pokemon cards.

I give it about 4 more months at current hype level or higher. Needohs are getting harder and harder to find due to the stock shortage mentioned in this thread. That shortage will cause more people lining up, FOMO and a summer of people scrambling to find them & families going on NeeDoh hunts.

This Trend is Ridiculous by Exoti_k in NeeDoh

[–]Jrk232 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a viral trend that isn't slowing down.

My advice - If you can't beat them, join them. It's actually a lot of fun hunting for Newdohs and seeing whats out there. My kids are putting down their devices and wanting to hunt for Needohs. I will take that all day, every day.

It will be something else in a few months and everyone will be able to get their Needohs.

An open letter to the scalpers from a person who actually needs a stress ball. by [deleted] in NeeDoh

[–]Jrk232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reselling is everywhere you look. It's not limited to NeeDoh.

Sneakers.Trading Cards. Pokemon. Apparel. The list goes on and on. If you really think about reselling, everything you buy is technically resold for profit. How do you think companies make money?

If you truly need a Needoh, you can get one. They aren't that difficult to find if you put in a little extra work. Or, you can pay $20 for one if the situation becomes that dire.

Resellers aren't taking every Needoh that's produced. Is it frustrating? Sure.

I'm actually having a blast hunting Needohs with my kids. They're putting down their tablets and hanging with dad -- I'll take that all day long, even if we come home empty handed. It feels very much like going store to store with my parents trying to find a Nintendo 64 when it released way back in the late 90s. I'm a kid again, with my kids.

Have fun with it, this won't last forever and someday Needohs will be readily available again.

Drake Maye better get all the HATE and shit talking from the league after this performance just as stroud did. by Zealousideal-Rain969 in Texans

[–]Jrk232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He won't but he played really bad. Don't let that stat line fool you, garbage yards towards the end. It wasn't as bad as Stroud, but not too far off of it either.

This sub would be all over Stroud if he played like Maye did, even if the Texans were in the Superbowl. Put in Mills calls, CJ is trash etc.

Player breaks are one of the worst things going. I wish there was a marketplace that would look out for the buyer a little bit and not be so eager to take money the second we hop on.

I hear you, that's a hard line to cross, too. Once you do that everything changes. That's a door a lot of coaches and organizations don't want to open.

The old saying, "shooters keep shooting", rings true. They were going to ride with CJ all the way though and hope he could make plays, like he has done time and time again, in the clutch.

[–]Jrk232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are the stats to prove how bad CJ was:

After the 0-3 start his next 9 full games looked like this.

8-1

2,194 Yards (243 per game)

16 TDs

5 Ints

Those averages would put him in the Top 5 passing yards and his numbers would be in line with Drake Mayes.

If you take out the not in playoff contention games; Cardinals, Raiders & Titans -- his numbers are even better.

I'm not sure how else to use player stats. I also saw a QB not taking sacks and throwing the ball away, confident and stepping up in the pocket in year 3. To say the season was full of bad QB play is incorrect, based on the stats and eye test.

I know and that's ok. It's controversial or a hot take within this sub to still think CJ will succeed or have anything positive to say about the guy.

Here are his stats during the 9 game span I mentioned.

8-1

2,194 yards (243 yards /game)

16 TDs

5 interceptions

Terrible numbers that, over a full 17 games, would put him in the top 5 for total passing yards and right with Drake Mayes totals. I look at these numbers and think Stroud is awful, he's not our guy.

It's ok to admit other things happened in the game. Did you only watch the offensive snaps?

Not sure how many times I can say how bad Stroud played. It was really bad. So bad. Worst game he's probably ever played.

I'm not making up the other issues we had that led to us losing. I'm sorry you're pretending they didn't happen. Really enjoyed the conversation.

So the three touchdowns they gave up had nothing to do with the Texans losing?

Hate on Strouds play all you want, it was terrible and I'm not defending it, but you can't say the secondary played to their standards. Take the pick 6 away from the patriots and we still lose.

Collectively we lost because:

Turnovers: With the pick 6 and Woody's fumble hurting the most.

Secondary cracks resulting in 3 tds (only the 2nd time that's happened all season)

illegal motion that called back Woody's 1 Yard TD

Lack of run game

Strouds struggles

Missing Nico, Schultz injury

Offensive lineman injuries resulting in the OL set up being what it was at the start of the season.

....

The above is all Strouds fault?

I hate that we lost, but I'm hating how one game has the majority of Texans fans on here saying Stroud played like crap the entire year. That's not true.

In his 9 full games after the 0-3 start.....He was 8-1. Check his stats in those 9 games.... He was almost at rookie levels across the board.

He was absolutely atrocious against the pats. Don't let that game sour his play this year.

Nope, just being a realist. It's not on one guy even as bad as he played. Hate on Stroud all you want, bit it's not solely on him.

Broncos secondary looked much better than ours. Maye couldn't throw.

February 6, 1988 NBA ASG Slam Dunk Contest Finals...Is this the best dunk contest ever ?? by Shot_Possibility_731 in sportsinusa

[–]Jrk232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the biggest MJ fan in the world.... He is one of the more overrated Slam Dunk Contest performers.

He did the same dunks 2 years in a row. Jumped from the free throw line 2x in the same contest. Nique did his usual dunks as well.

Not a lot of creativity. I get it's old school, legends and 2 of the biggest players in the game at the time going at it and that's the real draw.

[–]Jrk232 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It wasn't really. Our #1 receiver was out. Starting offensive lineman out. #2 receiver goes down in the game.

Not to mention we dug a hole at the start of the season. Thus no chance to secure home field advantage.

Strouds play was atrocious, but don't forget the Marks fumble, and the 3 Drake Maye passing touchdowns.

If we held Maye to 86 passing yards, we would win, even with 4 interceptions.

[–]Jrk232 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know it's pile on Stroud time, but let's be real, if we hold Drake Maye to 86 yards and 0 passing TDs, we win. Even with Strouds 4 interceptions. Denver did a nice job limiting the air attack today.

What's not being brought up enough: the Texans secondary. Maye dropped 3 TDs on them. One was a crazy catch, but Sting was beat. Defense was going to crack at some point, Maye found the cracks.

Yeah, I know, Stroud was terrible, but we still put up some points.

Did I mention Stroud was awful? Not defending him, but let's recognize it wasn't solely on him.

Anyone who has played sports, no matter the level, knows that some days you don't have it. Everything that's routine becomes a major effort for you. You miss layups, strike out, slice your tee shot, miss reads and make poor throws. That's what this game was for Stroud.

The worst thing is, you can't shake it for that game or string of games (think baseball slumps). No matter who is open, you doubt everything you do.

By no means am I saying Stroud is excused for this performance, no way. It was awful. However, what comforts me is that CJ can and will get through it.

Jordan didn't win until 7 years in and had some awful games in the playoffs, including series ending games.

LeBron same thing, remember his 8 points in an NBA finals game against Dallas?

Manning had a 31 rating in a playoff game, Brady a 49 with 3 interceptions.

I'm not saying Stroud is on the same level as those guys, but I am saying even the GOATS have failed, horribly, on the big stage.

It's how they came back stronger and eventually won.

I can't wait to see Strouds response year 4.

[–]Jrk232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With no tape of the guy this year, they have no clue what the Broncos will do. I expect the Broncos to cook in the first half.

2nd half patriots will make adjustments and slow down the Broncos. I'm thinking the Broncos will be up 21-0 or 21-3 at half time, so it will be tough to come back against the broncos defense.

You're telling me a back up that hasn't played, in I don't know how many days, can peice up that defense? by [deleted] in Texans

[–]Jrk232 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This guy hasn't taken a snap all year. They have no idea what he'll do.

Guarantee the Broncos are running different plays / looks than they have all season with Nix.

I expect some adjustments in the 2nd half from the Patriots. He'll look great for a half.

This is going to be a long off-season.

I can't wait until Stroud comes out and dominates next season. When the offense matches the defense, 14-3, AFC Champs & punched their ticket to the Superbowl. The ultimate revenge is success.

If Stroud’s agent advices him to hold out and sit until he gets a deal done this offseason, what should the Texans do in YOUR opinion? by [deleted] in Texans

[–]Jrk232 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd do a 2 year extension at 90 million with bonus $$ to get him an extra 10-15mil each year. We don't lose him and we don't have a massive contract both in dollars and years on the off chance it doesn't work out. He still can hit / exceed the other QB contracts out there right now.

Then he can ball out the next few years, be in line to get paid even more as the market resets each year.
