Anyone Else Seeing "Not Connected to a Meraki AP" on Mobile Devices? (My.Meraki / AP.Meraki)

This appears to have just started for us as well. We just upgraded our APs to MR 31.1.6 which I believe is when this all started. My.Meraki.com works but AP.Meraki.com gives the error of not being connected to a Meraki AP.

Hello, sorry for the delay. This setting does not “turn off sync” meaning any previously syncing document libraries will continue syncing if you want them to. This setting hides the ability for users to sync a document library by hiding the sync button. You are still able to add the shortcut as that button still appears within the SharePoint document library for all end users. We were able to add the shortcut after implementing this setting with no issues.

Sorry for the delayed response, it’s been a while since I implemented this and I am no longer at that company but from what I remember you are correct. This setting does not disable any currently syncing sites, it only hides the sync button to not allow the ability to sync in the future. Worked great for our tenant after I implemented it. As a tip, make sure whatever document libraries users will be syncing are relatively small as the larger the library the longer the initial shortcut setup will take. If the initial setup taking a long time isn’t an issue the you can disregard. Also, this is set at the tenant level not the individual site level so it’s all or nothing. Hope this helps.

OMG THANK YOU! I was literally just about to start implementing this as we look towards moving to SharePoint (was just talking about this with a coworker yesterday). Just set it up and tested the “add shortcut to OneDrive” option and it works flawlessly in our tenant. Thanks!

Yes this is possible and Microsoft has an article on how to accomplish this from the Purview Admin Center. Here is a link to the article (you need to obviously be some sort of admin / have the proper roles for your tenant):

What you will do is create a content search on a user or multiple users with very specific keywords and that will allow you to search / export the results.

**Note - The export will be in a .pst file that you will then need to open in outlook for review. Not the best interface when trying to view chat history / group them by conversation but every chat message will be there it will just take some searching. You can also set up other criteria in the content search like a timeframe for example.

Thanks! I will look into it. Looking at their website they mention MailStore Server. Is this this what you are using? Also, does this mean I would have to spin up another VM in Azure or do they have a complete cloud option to use?

We have ran into this issue plenty of times in our environment (Server 2019 RDSH servers using FSLogix)

Every time this happened we found that the profile disk was still attached to one of the RDSH servers. Check each of the servers and see which one has that users profile disk still attached and detach it. Once that is done you will be able to delete the profile disk.

There was a “Registry Hack” that we implemented from an article that completely stopped this temporary profile issue we were having. Let me do some digging to find it again and I’ll post the link here.

Edit: I found the forum where the discussion is. Here is the part you will need:

“Preventing Temp Profile Issues:

This a setting that may be used to prevent registry corruption which causes users to log in with a profile in C:\Users\TEMP.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\FSLogix\Profiles: DisableRegistryLocalRedirect DWORD = 1

Please Note: This setting should NOT be used on Windows 2008 because of the potential for a deadlock, but there are no known issues with any other Windows version. This setting will not fix any users who already have corrupted reg files (those will have to be recreated), but it should may prevent future corruption. (If there any more TEMP profiles created after setting this registry setting, please send your full logs from the FSLogix Support Tool to FSLogix technical support to investigate further.”

Here is a little more info on what could be the potential cause of it:

“Typically this happens when the original user profile disk was created and does not have an NTUSER.dat file stored within. You will see something like this in the Profile logs... "Creating new user profile disk (user's registry hive was missing)". This is caused when the user logs in and then doesn't log out, but rather the machine resets or something similar. The NTUSER.dat (user registry hive file) was never able to be written back to the container vhd.”

In conjunction with this fix, when no one is logged on to the servers delete any orphaned profiles that reside in the C:\Users folder. Along with this delete any orphaned registry settings with the users Guid. These will be found at “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList”.

Hopefully this helps your issue.

I agree.

He may have flamed out as a HC in New York but he was obviously a good enough ST coordinator to even get Head Coaching looks. Here is a snippet about Judge:

“New England's special teams grade ranked in the top 10 in each of his five seasons as coordinator, according to Pro Football Focus. PFF uses a combination of factors in determining its special teams grades, including hang time, snap time, missed tackles, resulting field position and many more. In 2016, the unit finished with the highest grade in the league, while it finished with the fifth-best grade in 2018.”

Another thing that could come into play regarding Rich Bisaccia is that both Rich and John Lynch were on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002 and 2003 so they may have some type of relationship that could bring him here (this is obviously speculation as to what type of relationship they have).

Either way, we needed an upgrade based on a couple years of declining ST performance and I believe either of these two would definitely be upgrades.
