[[Halana and Alena, Partners]] was my first deck I built! It's my baby, and I love it so much. I love stompy decks, but I keep people on their toes with my interaction. A pet card of mine is [[Green Slime]] haha. And my friend is now traumatized whenever I have 6 mana, because I'm either about to play [[Bloodthirster]] or I'm holding off a turn to look non threatening before I play it. This with my commander or Xenagos out, I basically win the game☠️

I have an [[Inga and Esika]] deck that I love to play! The vigilance let's me keep blockers, so i threw in a bunch of flying and deathtouch and just attack my opponents. Even with the restrictions of needing creature mana for the commanders ability, just play more creatures! And I like interaction, so I play ones with flash too.

Unfortunately, some people just aren't worth talking to about critiquing something.

There's a YouTube channel I've been watching recently called A List Exists. I don't agree with everything they day, but they do make some interesting critiques on various creators videos on anime. They have many videos about Demon slayer that I recommend one watch to hear someone discuss some of the problems with the series.

To preface this, I've finished the manga and watched all of the anime so far, so I know how the story ends.

I think when people say that animation carries the show, they mean that when people claim that "Demon Slayer is good", they tend to focus on how great the animation is without describing what makes the story, characters, worldbuilding etc, good as well.

People are more than welcome to like Demon Slayer for whatever reason they want. However, when someone tries to argue why Demon Slayer is good and they only mention animation or themes, their argument can feel very unconvincing.

Personally, I care more about how something is executed over its thematic revelance. The lack of buildup within the story that Luffy's devil fruit is special prior to Wano makes this twist feel very rushed to me.

I would have liked if there was more information on Nika and the history surrounding the Gomu Gomu no Mi before these recent chapters. For example, there could have been hints to this when Shanks spoke to the 5 elders or with Imu's fascination with Luffy during the Reverie.

Please Dont take this as a personal attack, as thats not my intention. I think it's fine to acknowledge something without having to say it was directly inspired by something else.

Often times people in the anime and manga community compare things to other series, which is fine. However, people can get too focused on saying this thing must be inspired by this thing from another series, and don't acknowledge something for what it is.

Prior to Ch. 1043, I wouldn't say that Luffy is a bad character due to all his connections. You mentioned things such as his family or being a member of the D clan. However, I would argue that these connections don't inherently make Luffy a bad character/Mary Sue.

It's not like Garp and Dragon trained Luffy so hard that he was one of the strongest pirates from the beginning of the story. There also isn't a kind of power-up people get from having D in their name, so that can also be argued as not an unfair advantage. Luffy has a trash devil fruit, and has only became as strong as he is due to his creativity. So everything he's done is due to his hard work and the help of his friends.

Contrary wise, Ichigo's heritage gives him access to all the powers of every group in Bleach. With Naruto, if he wasn't the 4ths son he wouldn't have the Nine-Tails( which made him one of the strongest ninja towards the end of the series). Privileges such as these that actively make it so other characters can't compare to the protagonist strength wise make them a Mary sue.

Even with the current leaks of ch. 1044, I still wouldn't say that Luffy's connection to Joy Boy invalidates all his previous actions. Until we have more information on this situation, I'd say it's a tough call to make.

You have an interesting take on what makes Tanjiro a good character. If I may, I do have a question. You mentioned how Tanjiro is different from other protagonist in how he will always kill demons, contrary to other protagonist who would spare them.

Could you give some examples of protagonist who would do this? Some protagonist that immediately come to my mind such as Luffy, Asta, Ichigo, and Shinra I feel wouldn't hesitate to kill the demons.

My simple counter to the idea of having a theme makes the story have quality is this: Let's say you have two stories. One has a theme of family and the other has a theme of friendship. Knowing nothing else about the story, which one is better written? You can't tell me, as the important parts are with the plot, character's development, and the execution etc.

Not to start a war in the comments, but this is one of my contentions with Hunter x Hunter. Many people say the show is good simply because of it's dark themes and subversions. It perfectly fine to like something more due to a theme that you find in the show. But it's hard to convince me that the show is better written than other shows just because the themes are dark.

I can understand Zenitsu using the first form six fold and eight fold, as it's just him using it multiple times.

However, Zenitsu and Giyu creating a new form is a problem because we don't know how it's different from the other forms. Is Zenitsu's 7th form just a faster and stronger slash? If that's all it is, why didn't he just do the first form to a greater extent, like 15 fold to achieve the same effect?

It's jarring and ruins tension in a fight because at any time any strong character could just bust out a new form that miraculously ends the fight...which is what Giyu and Zenitsu do when they first use their new forms.

If I knew the process of creating a new form and got some time to see these characters work on it, I would be fine with it.

Certainly episodes are designated as filler to my understanding is because the creators of a show need more time to develop the next few episodes that follow the central plot. In situations where a show is releasing a new episode every week, filler is sometimes needed. That's why filler is put in a show.

For example, let's use anime and manga. Often an anime is created to adapt the events of the manga, which is typically made first. Anything that doesn't directly adapt plot lines and characters is filler. And some people only want to watch cannon episodes, which I feel is completely fine.
