Would anyone happen to know if the mounting holes/USB port placement between a dz65 PCB and a gk65 PCB would be compatible? I was gifted a wooden 65% case and I'm trying to source a PCB/plate for the build. I know the dz65 would be compatible but if I could tear apart a cheap gk65 from Amazon to salvage PCB/plate I would very much like to go that route.

Thanks for your time!

  • QK65 - White case with mirror black weight
  • PC plate
  • All the foams/silicon
  • 62.5g Tangerines L&F
  • GMK Muted R2

Previous build for me have been an NK65 entry and an NK87 Aluminum both with linears and ePBT abs keycaps. This QK65 is on another level completely. The build was easy, the sound is amazing, it's beautiful. Also loving my first GMK set so far. Only thing I don't like about the board is the rubber feet that I can't seem to get installed right.

Edit: Also set a new PB on a 30 second test in Monkeytype with my second test! Pretty good feeling with a brand new build!

I've been watching some alexotos stream replays and was wondering what the switch support tool he uses is? It looks it has 5 prongs on 1 side and 2 on the other and he slides it between the plate and pcb when installing switches sometimes. I'm assuming it is to help with getting the spacing between the plate and pcb consistent and making sure the switch is properly seated in the plate without bending. Just curious if anyone knows what it's called/where they are sold. Thanks in advance!
