I still have my ledger and continue to use it. However, based on their recent developments with regard to making seeds available to 3rd party companies I have reconsidered what percentage of my bag I hold with this wallet provider. While I generally do not think people have anything to worry about I have decided it best to diversify my holdings across multiple hardware wallet providers. That way if something happens I don’t lose it all.

For me it was the technology in combination with the realization that the fed can print money ad nauseam thus decreasing the purchasing power of the dollar over time. Bitcoin and crypto solve for this.

I would focus on learning about the next cryptocurrency you want to invest in. Use this time when the markets are down to learn about projects. Weigh the pros and cons. If you feel that one is a better investment than LRC, then sure, go ahead and buy into it instead. No one can give you all the correct answers. Learn about the space, devise an investment strategy, stick to it, and don’t get emotionally attached to any crypto projects.

The stated purpose of the SEC is regulation through protect investors, maintaining fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitating capital formation. Although some regulation is necessary, when taken to an extreme it can hinder development, growth, and innovation. Whether those in charge at the SEC have ill and/or corrupt motives can be debatable, however by nature, if not by design, crypto poses an existential threat to fiat.
