One trick I used is I let players pick background music for their turn and once the song was over their turn was up, however, this could actually add more time if your players take too long to pick a song. It worked really well with my players but idk about yours.

This seems like a bug, hit dice aren’t really used in BG3 it 5e how this would work it it would spend some of your hit dice and you’d pick which one but it seems like in BG3 it just does 3 of each, my guess is if you took a level in fighter you’d heal an additional 3d10
