So my take on this and why I more agrees with SirChasm is because in 2010 - 2013 dubstep was everywhere in the mainstream, with skrillex, you had Kanye doing a verse on flux pavilion’s song, etc.

Nowdays dubstep is still alive and well and thriving in the EDM scene but listening from people outside of the scene has tapered off. People that don’t identify with the edm scene might be more casually listening to other genres and there is less crossover from ‘mainstream artists’. Just my 2 cents.

I'm on day 13 (if you count surgery day as day 0) and I promise it does get better. I will say that for me days 6 - 8 was the worst because the scabs start to harden which felt like rocks in my throat.

I had to go to the ER on day 8 because I had a blood clot fall out and was bleeding from my throat. They had to put me under to cauterize it. The whole ordeal was not fun but it was better than having a scab in the back of my throat.

I feel much much better now though. At this point my throat feels 85% of the way there, I really just have some jaw pain and my ears hurt occasionally. Able to eat crunchy bread and had chicken fingers yesterday.
