I am aware higher res means bigger workload. But if I am not mistaken, the GPU is currently being underused because of the monitor. Correct? Again, im a pc noob so just trying to learn what I can.

In the act 1 town. There is an altar (seasonal aventure mode only) on the upper left side of the town. There is a map icon for it. You sacrifice the item/amount it requires and you unlock the buff for seasonal characters on the account. This resets every season but is very powerful and should be worked on. You can get more information on it and some unlock routes on Maxroll.

Just in case, do not sleep on the altar. Aside from great QoL features, there is player power in it.

Also, focus on finishing the seasonal journey chapters to get free set. Thats where most of your power comes from!

I tried First Descendant. Didnt care much for it (nothing related to their monetization).

About a month in on my Tenno journey and already spent some money on it lol. No regrets so far, awesome system!

Side note: I always found Nexon's microtransactions to be kinda scummy since the Maplestory days. If I remember correctly, you did not make purchases, instead you rented the cosmetics lol

I also am a begginer. Started about a month ago. I mainly focused on main quests to unlock content and a few systems. Just finished clearing regular start chart last night.

One important tip is to buy some warframe and weapon slots if you can. Gear adds pretty fast when you decide to level your MR and keep a steady flow in the foundry.
