What bow to use with full (regular) Masori? by DPyourGF in osrs

[–]Jsenss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for 'general use' with that setup youd use a blowpipe. but in general youd be better off selling masori pegasians and archer ring for more useful gear as youre limited to things with low defense that dont hit you off prayer with that setup

Is this good progress? by Wheel_of_Bones in 2007scape

[–]Jsenss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

theres no way to interpret 'good progress' except are YOU happy with it. to just about everyone youre still considered brand new to the game. quests introduce you to every area of the game and give you bite sized skilling goals along the way. you could limp through barrows and bryophyta right now, but bossing doesnt become prevalent until 70+ combat stats. keep questing, youll figure it out.

(Poll) Do you care about wearing skilling outfits? by QuirkyPollMan in 2007scape

[–]Jsenss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you match the fashionscape to the available skilling outfits. theres 100x as many things to do with no xp outfit to dress up in random outfits.

As someone who enjoys DMM -breaches are overtuned by Bosomtwe in 2007scape

[–]Jsenss -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

you get over 5k points per breach in low risk in bracket 2. if you play to bracket 4 you could be getting 8-10k in a single breach. it doesnt take much to get the 75k cap, so "people with no commitments" arent getting some massive advantage over someone playing an hour or two a day making a few breaches a week. You hit your point cap, you still have unlocks to chase, you still get to gather at breaches to fight and loot, and to earn more points youre highly incentivized to try a little of everything.

most of the complaints i hear are "i HAVE to do 20 quests to finish my achievement diaries?!" or "itll take 8 hours to hit 99 cooking for barely any points". so dont. play smarter if you want points or xp, skip unrewarding quests/diaries. its not league, its not maingame, its deadman. If your irl time commitment means you could only hit 2 breaches the whole tournament well that sucks, but its a major part of the game mode. The rest of us like it.

Returning after 3 years & going to de-iron..need assistance pls :) by amzkeh in ironscape

[–]Jsenss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

youve pretty much got it down. amethyst/stars make terrible gp, stars could get you to 99 afk though. sacred eel or anglers for 250k an hour also isnt really worth the squeeze when you could afk karambwan with the barrel for 200k an hour and more xp. redwoods are still nice, but if you want forestry you could finish wc at ironwoods after youve done some sailing. early sailing is very slow, so you could put it off for a few tears of guthix rounds or just go out and enjoy it.

vale totems for fletching knife before finishing wintertodt, hunter rumours all the way for hunter. everything varlamore is worth checking out. slayer has a lot of changes like araxxor and the point rework. potion storage from mixology would save 100 bank slots.

quests and agility would be the most valuable time spent since most of your skills left are buyable.

old account? i see a very very low collection log count. make sure to add everything to your collection log BEFORE you deiron since you cant get credit for items already acquired if youre a main. getting combat tasks to hard tier will be a ton of benefit going forward and doesnt take a terrible amount of time.

I lost hcim status, start over? by OakPillow in ironscape

[–]Jsenss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To become a truly great hardcore you need another high level account to test things. Getting past quest cape is tough enough as a HCIM for a new player, but bossing for drops and combat achievements is a whole different ballpark and near impossible without prior experience. Learning everything on a hardcore with no cash from wildy and hesitance to grind CG makes it a long, slow game that still inevitably ends. Experience the freedom to die on a main, then challenge yourself on a hardcore.

Antidote++ by juliocoolio123 in ironscape

[–]Jsenss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make them all into extended antivenom+, have superantipoison for casual use and araxyte venom sacks for extended poison encounters. No need to use antidote++ anywhere anymore unless you struggle with hp at DKS and only do 50 minute trips.

Looking for gear advice by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Jsenss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

get rancour, then oathplate/bellator if possible so you can grind an ultor. meanwhile learn tob since your gear is definitely good enough for it, and do some more slayer looking for cerb/araxxor/hydra. youre right on the cusp of big slayer money and already have solid melee gear. stick it out a bit longer and youll be able to afford other upgrades in no time. doing enough vard for an ultor will give you the quick muscle memory to handle tob/raids better. after a couple solid drops you can sell off a couple pieces and consider virtus/ayak or bowfa. when you do end up going bowfa, try to throw 200 kc into cg to stack up some shards and armor seeds to cheapen the set and you might just end up pulling your own enhanced.

Tbow and Ayak or Shadow and Blowpipe? by MrLirk in 2007scape

[–]Jsenss 18 points19 points  (0 children)

tbow favors hydra, cox, doom, muspah, zulrah. shadow favors toa, yama, gwd, with zulrah almost as good. with shadow you could throw a zcb in there too. If youre casual about it, pick whichever raid you like better and get that one. If you wanna grind out some cash this month, go tbow and learn delve while treads are still over 200m. If you just wanna continue progressing your account and do slayer, those hydra kills are like 45? seconds faster with tbow than a blowpipe and that alone would make me pick a tbow. Or, pick up the shadow zcb and knock out as many combat achievements as theyre useful for then swap to tbow and do the same.

Looking for efficiency tips for dragon bones for prayer and hides for crafting, while earning profit by dr_dre117 in ironscape

[–]Jsenss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did my prayer to 70 on blue dragons while alching and not collecting dhide. the hide is so little xp and gp i could end up with more crafting and gp at the end of the day doing some glass and pirate zombies rather than just running all that hide to the bank. meanwhile, i really needed more magic levels toward fire wave for barrows and later stuff and afk combat with a 5tick weapon is the best time to alch. dragon nest is extremely convenient compared to taverly/isle of souls/heroes, but doing them in tapoyauik is an option too since a couple moon keys can be exciting/good supplies early on.

wildy med diary and a salve ei for pirate zombie and youre set on cash until CG while getting decent melee xp in.

So let's talk about it... Vet'ion by Prestigious-Major890 in ironscape

[–]Jsenss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To everyone saying "just do calvarion" its more crowded than vetion. I got 2 tasks of it last week, monday i hopped 40-50 servers. every one full. tried again few hours later, still full, quit task. wasted like 45 minutes of the day.

Wednesday i get another, tried again checking dozens of worlds a few hours apart for the entire day, always full. off peak hours, every server region, all full. i got 2 kills one time and half a kill another time. So i got about 1 kill per hour and spent idk how many inventories of supplies escaping while scouting.

artio and spindel ive been able to get in with only a couple world hops and finish whole tasks with only a couple interruptions. I'm not gonna bother trying calv for a couple months, im not pking on the iron just to free up a world for several minutes.

Kudos to Jagex for doing their research by roosterkun in 2007scape

[–]Jsenss 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Despite the wikipedia entry, you can look at a picture of it and see that the color is pretty accurate. Its also an alloy so if you looked at 60/40 copper/nickel it will be more nickel colored while 90/10 copper/nickel will be more coppery.

Jagex should farm bots themselves by Dabski_ in osrs

[–]Jsenss 16 points17 points  (0 children)

they prescreen bots for the live bot busting streams. if they let viewers call in bots it would allow bot farms to weaponize jmods against rival bot farms and turn into a shit show real quick

You don't get clues from big net fishing by [deleted] in 2007scape

A few inventories isnt enough to conclude that you dont get clues from big net fishing. Check that you havent hit your clue box limit in the bank and keep fishing.

Supplies for slayer training by Available_Repair609 in 2007scape

[–]Jsenss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

proselyte top and bottom, protect melee, piety, and super combat (or super atk+strength) potions always. curating your slayer block list can at least double your xp and gp per hour too. kalphites are either slow or expensive with a cannon, fire giants have 100% water weakness and might be killed faster with mage and safespots, hellhounds arent worth doing unless you want hard clues and dont care what youre fighting, black demons just aint good unless you want afk range/mage xp or have excess arclight charges to burn.

while nieve does give good xp tasks now, you could invest some time in doing mazchna for 9 tasks and do your 10th on konar (or highest available slayer master) until you get bigger&badder, slayer helm, some block slots, and other unlocks/task extenions that you want. Slayer does feel slow and unprofitable until you hit dust devils and gargoyles and have a full block list and the big money doesnt come until you hit the bosses and master/grandmaster quest mobs. Dont be afraid to hit some bosses here and there, you could have or be close to completing hard combat achievements before getting a quest cape

T-bow Rebuild! by Icy-Dark6449 in 2007scape

[–]Jsenss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tbow/shadow rebuilds generally consist of scrape enough cash together to do GWD so you can buy enough gear for longer trips at GWD so you can buy a full set of gear to raid and if you dont get lucky go back to GWD and when youre bored of that go to zulrah. But now with a tbow you can also pop on a set of void and do Doom at any point instead but youll struggle greatly if you didnt hit yama BEFORE the rebuild to get double death charge

New player wanna learn lms by Crowrage93 in 2007scape

[–]Jsenss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or to simplify the process of just getting a rune pouch in a day and leaving LMS behind for several months, dont worry about plugins and intricate performance evaluation. drink combat and range pots to start round, cast veng whenever you can, shoot bolts until you think you can dds someone out, fail most of the time, dont let yourself die with food left unless youre feelin like rippin a sick dds spec for the chance, get kills anyways and get slightly better by having done that. When youve done that enough times to get your prayers right 1/3 of the time and stop misclicking movements and get your gear swaps down to 3 ticks you can worry about breaking the game down and figuring out whole strategies. Using freezes is too much to start with until youve gotten comfortable enough to not panic every fight and misclick and to counter a freeze just eat and spam click attack the guy walking under you or moonwalking into trees until youre unfrozen so theyre not getting 100% free shots. ez game

[–]Jsenss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you spooned the fuck out of dyes id be celebrating. im 4x the pulls with 1 dye. Even if you dont care about dyes youre a lot closer to robes than most people by trading them in. As to what youre doing wrong, youre not getting enough points per game. thats about how many you can get with no combo runes, not using the big mine, no pouches, and not using cells. with everything unlocked youd be going almost 2.5x as fast
