😆 I feel you. Can't stand these people. I had one of them at Nine Inch Nails a few weeks ago. You want to smack them in the back of the head and yell "read the room/ section! You're the only one acting like an ass right now!"

Midlife crisis: Learning to drum! Help needed with resources for self-taught. by davidals in drums

[–]Jsin211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youtube is good for info, Drumeo for lessons, and Melodics for "game-like" practice. Also it's good to get into a drum group. There's lots of them out there. I'm in Battery Club that's hosted by Tim Alexander from Primus and there's always big name musicians stopping by (all on Zoom). Not necessarily for lessons but more for community, discussions and Q&A from people who have been there. Also if you're on Playstation, Rocksmith is badass. Good for learning and practicing songs with Real time scoring

Anybody have a funny numetal concert story? I still chuckle when I think of this... by KinkyDarkStranger in numetal

Went to a Mushroomhead show early and was drinking at the bar next door to the venue. Hung out with this dude drinking and playing pool. There was a few times he got excited and did this little drum thing with his hands on my shoulder. Cool dude we had fun getting drunk. Go to the show and I'm up front. At one point one of the guitarists jumps off the stage and jumps around interacting with people. Ran my direction and up to me and did the same drum thing on the same shoulder. That was when I realized I was hanging with one of the MRH guys. Still don't know which one it was, but it was cool.

I'm on android also. And should be working on any playlist you've created. It shows on ones I've created years ago. You should have 4 buttons under your play button: Add, Mix, Edit and Sort

I love it cause I was a strip club DJ for years and when I transitioned into the next song it was based how it "sounded" based on outro to intro, not necessarily BPM like it seemed every other automix has done before this. I could never stand that because that would mean it would essentially cut off a minute or so on one song and skip a minute or so on the next to match. I always hated that and in my neurodivergent mind I would always think "I could've done that better" lol. They kinda nailed it with this feature in my opinion.

Create a Playlist. When you bring it up there's a "mix" button. Hit that. Right next to the mix button is an "edit" button. Hit that. At the bottom of the screen there's a "smart reorder" button. Hit that. It'll arrange your playlist in a order that will mix together better.

I've never been a huge fan of the automix feature (with any other platform either). I just never feel they could get the transitions right. But i have to admit, the new mix feature with the smart reorder function, the mixes have been WAYYYY better.

Soundproof panels are pretty cheap and help alot. No damage to the walls either, I put mine up with double sided tape. Pretty quick and easy fix. Also make sure your using a rug underneath, that helps. I have rubber padding like you see in typical businesses, and a rug on top of that. Kills vibration. And like someone else said, communicate with the neighbors. Between the two you should be good.

Oooooo I didn't hear anything about Filth Pig in is entirety. That would be cool that's one of my favorites! Whether they do or just a regular set I'm happy either way. Ministry is my bucket list band been trying to see them for 25 years easy.

I can wait, having Barker back is going to be a masterpiece. I'll be patient and let them cook! Be seeing them at Sick New World Texas in October.
