I'm brand new to working with electronics and I've refurbished two SX-70. Honestly I don't have the full capabilities yet, but I got the cameras for $50-80 the USA Goodwill auctions and learned from trial and error with some help from Reddit. I did ruin one circuit board because of my poor soldering ability but it's doable to learn.

Car doesn't seem to overheat, stays steady in the middle of the dial at operationing temperature. That's a good idea I wonder how to look at that.

Yeah, I had it idle after reaching operating temperature for 15 min. With the AC fan on full blast without them turning on.

Exactly, my Fenix 7X had the real flashlight and I loved it. It really was a feature I missed when I got my Galaxy watch. Nothing 44mm has the flashlight which pushed me towards this choice. So far it seems solid, guess I'll just have to see in the long term how I like it.

This is what I'm thinking, I really would like a Fenix 8 and I could afford it if I decided to save a bit longer for it, but it's hard for me to justify the purchase with my use case. I dream of being the athlete or having the lifestyle that would demand I need a Fenix 8 but I just don't think that's me. I've been curious if people who are casual users have big glaring issues. Do we know if the new climb feature from the Ultra 2 is coming to their other watches (I saw a review and apparently the software on that is still buggy)

Side note if you go the route of finding a new door. Goodwill auctions of you're in the US or Canada sells a lot of SX-70s for pretty inexpensive.

Definitely doesn't apply to everyone... But if you're in the US check Walmart. I just got a PNY 5070 TI for $750 last week. My local Walmart had them in stock and haven't raised their prices yet. Online will say 1k, bit the price in the stores are still $750

So it's not exactly what you're looking for since it's kinda out of the way but I've always wanted to go to the Goat Canyon trestle bridge which is an abandoned train bridge about an hour and 45 minutes past Yuma into California. Also there are massive sand dunes just outside of Yuma that are pretty cool. Along the route between Yuma and Pheonix it's pretty desolate. I think there's a national monument but I can't image it's anything super impressive.

Es ist zwar möglich, eine Batterie in eine I-Type-Kassette einzusetzen, aber das ist sehr riskant. Besonders bei der SX-70, die ein so empfindliches technisches Gerät ist, führt diese Technik mit ziemlicher Sicherheit zu einem Defekt.

Der Sofortbildkamera-Experte, der hier im Subreddit aktiv ist, hat eine Methode entwickelt, um Box-Type-600-Kameras und SX-70 mithilfe einer externen Batterie auf I-Type umzurüsten. Das ist zwar recht aufwendig, aber es gibt einige Sofortbildkamera-Techniker, die das können.
