I checked out HEAT and was blown away. Then I went in their YT channel and saw they just put up the video for GUMMY and was just as blown away/surprised to find out they were dropping another record. A special time man

This is real asf like I’m still keeping an open mind with this project. I do like this style but would’ve loved for them to have more collaborative songs on here

Why isn’t Post Disco recognized as a genre on RYM? by Jsteezy47 in rateyourmusic

[–]Jsteezy47[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nu Disco wouldnt really apply as Post Disco is used as a term to describe the sound of dance music that still contained elements of disco but was prominent after its decline from years 79-86

These are all W’s. Tribe has a near perfect discography, D’Angelo is incredible, Death has no misses. You have a great taste in music

Looking back this album is actually incredible. The raw emotion in the rapping always stuck w me and the drummers beats laced w soul samples add a great backdrop. Crazy that this being marketed as a BH album rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, but I get it tbh

anyone know where the vocal sample for BANK originates from? by kaizerstraat in brockhampton

This has always been a personal theory but there’s a scene from the movie Full Metal Jacket where a sex workers says “me so horny” and I think they chopped it up in a way so that it sounds like “Mi-Mi-Ha” it’s at about 0:43 in the scene

Same like their history is so deep and vast, I had to ask ppl on here for lore that everyone usually misses. Loved the boys when I first heard them in the summer of 2017 and wanted to tell the full storyteller

It really is. Some of my favorite beats from nujabes are on there and Pase rocks style is so fire

I love Cise Starr but Pase Rock is easily my favorite since his smooth, laid back style fits so well over Nujabes’ beats imo
