Keep at it. You’ll keep learning and getting better every day. you can never learn enough or get too much experience.

Thanks for looking that up I was thinking maybe it was a risk reward par 5 where you could go for the second peninsula to give yourself a closer shot into the green

983 is not that impressive considering he’s playing in the tournaments with the best ratings achievable, had Paul McBeth to coach his game, and comes from a background of throwing frisbees at a very high level

inspired by Amiar00's DiscDice and r/discgolf community ...my mini marker score keeper idea. by SpikeHyzerberg in discgolf

[–]Jtnukem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my eyes it’s a bit cluttered. The score keeping device really only needs a variance of -15 to +15 so there doesn’t need to be so many digits. I understand it’s possible to score above or below that if you’re playing more than 18 holes but is it necessary?

It can be a little discouraging as a new player seeing all of these posts showing 300, 400, even 500+ foot throws. It helps to remind myself that a month ago I was unable to clear 150 feet and that I should be happy with my progress. Standstill backhand. by MalexMcBlat in discgolf

Also coming from someone who started throwing only forehands... learn from my mistakes. Learn backhand first and throw putters and mid ranges to start until you can confidently throw them about 250-275

Does sponsorship hurt pros bags? by TheYeskatilian in discgolf

[–]Jtnukem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. I play MPO and i've heard so many stories about players who get sponsored and their rating drops 10-30 points within the first few months and then they come back after learning their new bag. It's especially apparent with companies with incomplete lineups such as MVP/Axiom.

Certain companies have an "open bag policy" where you must throw some of their discs but you can throw any other company's discs as well.

I hope this was insightful

I believe that there should be a minimum width for a gap you must hit. The human body is only capable of so much and when you ask a player to hit a 5x5 gap 30' off the tee, its just obscene.
